About Me
Hi! My name is Maddie and I have spent most of my adult life working in the childcare industry. I grew up in Cheltenham but studied in Glasgow, moving to rural Devon post graduation where I lived up until last year.
Moving back to Cheltenham has been wonderful as I have found a new found appreciation for this lovely town. I'm currently working as management in retail so that I could pursue some extracurriculars in my spare time. I gained my Level 2 in counselling skills last year and I'm currently taking evening classes in French. I sing in a choir and love to stomp around the Cotswolds in my spare time.
My Experience
I have always worked in the childcare sector. I had my first babysitting job at age 16 where I worked for a number of families in the Leckhampton area. My last job was in the outdoor education industry where I was the Guest Welfare Manager. I was the DDSL for my centre and I have facilitated two Ofsted inspections. My favourite part of the job was seeing the children learn new things about themselves; from overcoming their fears on the high ropes to discovering their newfound passion for archery! I have always been a big kid at heart and I feel that my unbridled energy shines through when it comes to being around children.
My Level 3 in first aid expired in January this year, it is something I am interested in renewing, but naturally, I do still have the knowledge gained from that course as well as the basic first aid training provided by my current workplace.
My Qualifications
My previous qualifications I held were as follows -
Common Core Skills & Knowledge (London School of Childcare Studies)
ODDSL23 Safeguarding Children in England; a Practical Approach (MENTOR)
I also have a L2 in Counselling Skills.
My Availability
I am available most evenings as I only work until 6pm. My French lessons are on Tuesdays but I would be free from 7pm. Choir means that Wednesdays I would not be available but the term ends mid April. If given enough time in advance, there is a possibility I would be able to work during the day time.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
The world is an expensive place and I don't think that parents should be paying through the nose for childcare so I'm happy to negotiate on prices!
