Hi! I’m Gabi and I provide a lovely childminding setting called Daffodils Daycare in South Kendal.
I am registered with an Ofsted regulated childminders agency.
Since moving to Kendal, I’ve created a unique childminding setting on its own private floor in my home. It has a fully equipped playroom covering all EYFS areas, a small modern kitchen, and changing facilities, all purpose-built to meet the everyday needs of the children in my care.
Outdoors, I offer a safe, enclosed garden with plenty of space for active play, sensory play, and appreciation for nature.
Daffodils Daycare is a safe and high-tech house, with a smart heating system, and lights that can change colours and brightness. I have a small smart T.V. on the wall which can be used for learning new songs, dough disco and short informational videos about topics!
Children have cot beds with eco-friendly high-quality sleep sacks and a room that can be made dark and cool for safe sleeping practices.
I offer a healthy meal plan with family-style dining, where children are encouraged to learn independence in serving and feeding themselves. I am knowledgeable about allergies, food hygiene and choking hazards, and all meals and snack times are monitored.
Children are free to bring their own lunches and after school snacks, and will still be provided with milk, fruit, vegetables and breakfast items all included in their placement.
I am registered with a brilliant childminders agency which provides a safe GDPR protected app for daily updates, accepts all major methods of childcare payments and allows families to stay connected through a secure system - storing your children's personal information, photos and memories safely.
My household consists of me, and my husband David - who works from his home office in the attic. He enjoys bouldering and hikes, he's funny and friendly and has a full DBS check and driver's licence. We also have a black cat called Bella, she is playful, and energetic and has her only little bedroom where she can retreat when the house gets busy!

My certificates are available to view in person upon request.
My Availability
I am available Tuesday to Friday each week, 8:00 to 18:00.
I offer two types of daycare, a full day (8:00 to 18:00) or a "day session" (8:30 to 14:30) - this allows parents to opt out of the after school run and session.
I have 6 weeks off throughout the year. Dates are pre-set and available upon enquiry.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
Full day is £65, or £6.50 per hour.
After school care is £5 per hour for 5+ years old.
Holiday care is £6.50 per hour for 2-5, then £5 for 5+ years old.
My meal plan is £2.50 per meal, I offer a mid-day meal and an after school meal. (See website for menu and photos).
Early morning drop-off and late collection fees are £5 for 15 minutes.
My childminder agency has a registration fee of £59 for registering and using their app (exclusions may apply).
Parents must provide nappies, I provide wipes and creams.
