My Summary
About Me
A home-from-home setting where childhood is celebrated through curiosity, adventure, and the magic of outdoor play.
Inspired by nature, I believe learning happens best when children are free to explore—whether it’s building with driftwood, splashing in puddles, or watching the waves roll in.
A warm, loving environment where your child will feel safe, nurtured, and part of our family, supported by three gentle, much-loved dogs who help teach kindness and care. In a purpose built garden room and adjoining garden play space.
Child-led, curiosity-driven. I follow the EYFS framework through hands-on experiences, because real learning is in the mud pies, the sea foam, and the open skies.
Wrap-around care available to support families with before & after school care, giving children the chance to unwind, play, and move freely after a structured school day.
My Experience
I bring a modern, research-driven approach to childcare, shaped by both academic study and hands-on experience as a mother. My journey into childminding wasn’t traditional—it was led by passion, curiosity, and a deep commitment to understanding how children develop best.
With a degree in Criminology, including studies on children, families and psychology, learning and development. I have a strong foundation in how children think, learn, and grow. My research into early childhood development began when I was expecting my daughter, and what started as personal learning became a true calling. I delved into the most up-to-date, evidence-based approaches to early years education, and when my daughter arrived, I saw firsthand the power of child-led, curiosity-driven learning.
I believe that no two children learn the same way, and because I don’t come with preconceptions, I am adaptable, always learning from the children themselves and applying my knowledge to support their individual growth.
With a Level 2 qualification in Nutrition and a Level 3 Personal Training certification, I also bring a holistic view of health and wellbeing, ensuring children stay active, engaged, and connected with their bodies through movement and outdoor play.
I have then participted in childminding training, not just to refine my knowledge but to ensure I had the best possible skills to provide a safe, enriching, and nurturing environment for every child in my care.
