Over the past ten years, I have built a fulfilling career in childcare, working across various settings from Ireland to international locations. My journey began in crèches and early education centers in Ireland, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in child development and care. Seeking new opportunities and experiences, I later expanded my career abroad, working in international schools and childcare centers, including a significant period in Australia.

Since returning to Ireland a year ago, I have continued my passion for early childhood education, most recently serving as a manager in a childcare center. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of care and education, and supporting both staff and families. My experience across different countries has given me a well-rounded perspective on early years education, allowing me to bring diverse approaches to childcare and management.

I am now looking forward to the next chapter of my career, eager to apply my skills and experience in a role where I can continue making a positive impact on children’s early learning and development.

My Qualifications

During my four years in Sligo studying for a BA Level 8 in Early Childhood Education, I gained extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of early childhood care and development. Throughout the course, I undertook a variety of modules that provided a well-rounded understanding of the profession. These included Child Development, Play and Creativity, Curriculum and Pedagogy, Sociology of Childhood, Special Educational Needs, and Child Protection and Welfare. I also studied Leadership and Management in Early Childhood Settings, which prepared me for supervisory roles in the sector. Practical placements allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world early years settings, enhancing my skills in working with children, families, and professionals. This comprehensive program has equipped me with the expertise and confidence to contribute meaningfully to early childhood education.

My Availability

During the week, I open from 8:00-5:00pm. I am available for school pick up and drop off also.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £40.00 per hour

40£ a day, includes breakfast and meals throughout the day. I am in the process of getting better for childminder but as of now because I am only starting out, I have to go under babysitter for now.
