My Childcare Experience
I have extensive experience working with children of various ages, from toddlers to school-aged kids. I previously worked in a nursery setting, where I became adept at handling tears and tantrums while creating a calm and positive environment for young children. I also spent over two and a half years caring for a child from the age of two until he started school at five. During that time, I engaged him in creative play, educational activities, and early literacy development, helping him learn to read and write.
I have also worked in sports coaching, leading camps and activities that encourage teamwork, confidence, and physical development. I love incorporating play, crafts, and interactive learning into childcare, creating a fun and engaging environment while fostering children's independence.
About Me
I am in my final year studying Politics at the University of Edinburgh. Originally from Harrogate, I have a strong academic background and a passion for education, advocacy, and sustainability. Alongside my studies, I am actively involved in NGO work, contributing to projects that support global causes.
Outside of work, I love sports, particularly football and badminton, and I’m a big Leeds United fan. I enjoy incorporating sports and active play into childcare, keeping kids engaged and encouraging their confidence and social skills. I also love crafts and creative activities, always finding new ways to keep children entertained and learning.
