My Requirements

Location: Maidstone, ME14 / Sittingbourne ME9
Hours: Monday to Friday, approx. 08:00–09:00 and 15:00–16:00 (term-time only)

We’re a friendly family in Maidstone looking for a Personal Assistant to support our 8-year-old son, Manny, with getting to and from his specialist school in Sittingbourne during term time. Manny is bright, sensitive, and full of curiosity. He’s autistic and has ADHD, so thrives on routine, calm communication, and clear transitions.
What we need

Morning (Flexible):
- Option 1: You collect Manny from our home in Maidstone at 07:45 and drive him to school//School starts at 09:00
- Option 2: If you’re based in Sittingbourne, we can drop him to you around 07:45


Afternoon (Flexible) - Collect Manny from school at 15:00
Then either:
- Look after him until 16:00 in Sittingbourne (we’ll collect him), or
- Drive him back to our home in Maidstone for drop off at 16:00


We’re ideally looking for someone who can offer reliability with a bit of flexibility, as there may occasionally be times when we need to adjust pick-up or drop-off due to work commitments.

What we’re looking for:
- Kind, calm and reliable person who enjoys working with children
- Some understanding of autism and ADHD (or willingness to learn)
- Full UK driving license and access to a car - if not in walkable distance from school.
- Willingness to complete a DBS check (or already has one)

- National Minimum Wage (hourly) – currently £12.21/hour

Estimated Annual Cost
This role is term-time only (approx. 39 weeks/year) and covers around 2.5 hours per day.
We estimate the total cost (including hourly wage and petrol) to be in the region of:
£7,000 – £8,500 per year, depending on the PA’s location and final arrangements.
