Hi there! I am currently studying my HNC in Childhood Practice, SVQ 3 Social Services Children and Young People, and doing student placement 3 days a week at a local nursery. I am bubbly, outgoing, confident and adore working with children!
My Experience
I am currently attending a local nursery with 50+ children as a Student Practitioner as I work towards my HNC in Childhood Practice (Finish in May 25)! My duties include: Providing care and supervision for children aged 2-5 years, planning and setting up developmentally appropriate activities to support early childhood development, supporting children during snack and mealtime, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and ensuring children’s safety by following SIMOA and safeguarding protocols. Although I don't have direct experience with babysitting, I am confident in my abilities as I have the experience of looking after children and meeting their needs. I also worked as a school escort with the taxis, taking children up to a school specialised in additional support needs, and my role included assisting children with Additional Support Needs, ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation to school, learning basic sign language to communicate with the children and building trust with families while maintaining a positive and responsible approach.
