? Assistant Head Teacher at The Minster Nursery and Infant School, Croydon (January 2019 – May 2023)
As the Assistant Head Teacher, I managed the Year One team as a four formed entry cohort. I was responsible for Teaching and
Standards, Religious Education as it was a Church of England School. I was the line manager for support staff. I taught in class 3
days a week and lead assembly twice a week. I lead our ‘Achievement for All Award,’ ‘Anti-Bullying Award’ and ‘RE Gold Quality

? Class Teacher and Year Group Leader at The Minster Nursery and Infant School, Croydon (September 2010 – January
2019)
As a class teacher I taught in both Year One and reception Year groups. In 2014 I was promoted to the Year Group Leader for Year
One, within out four formed entry school. I confidently taught phonics and pre reading skills. I was the subject lead for science,
then Religious Education. I planned and delivered intervention groups for a lower attaining children within different subjects to
support them in overcoming barriers.
? Support Worker (Sessional) in different residential Children’s Homes at Five Rivers Childcare Ltd, based in Salsibury
(September 2006 – September 2010)
I covered a range of residential homes for children. Some settings provided 2:1 care and other settings were single sexed group
living homes. I mainly worked with children ranging from 10 – 16, supporting them with life skills and building routines. I
supported cooking meals and driving children to groups or contact visits. I stayed overnight and supported with evening,
morning routines. Safeguarding was a vital part of this role, as it has been since in all of my roles. I was offered the role of
managing one of the group living settings but I wanted to pursue my career as a teacher.
