Hi, I’m Lauren! I live in Plymstock but happy to travel around the local area. I currently offer babysitting and love spending time with children of all ages, I’m flexible depending on your family’s needs.
I’m a kind, caring and dedicated person who’s passionate about working with children. I’m currently studying at university to become a primary school teacher so childcare is not just a job for me, it’s something I’m genuinely committed to long term. I really enjoy getting involved in activities like reading stories, playing football, arts and crafts, music and generally having fun while keeping children safe and happy.
What makes me unique as a babysitter is my genuine enthusiasm and my ability to build trusting, positive relationships with both children and parents. I understand how important it is to create a calm and engaging environment, and I’m confident and capable, whether it’s helping with homework, bedtime routines or simply keeping little ones entertained with creative play.
My Experience
I have around 4 years of experience working with children in both family homes and school settings. Over the years, I’ve looked after younger cousins, babysat for local families and taken part in university placements as part of my teacher training. These placements have given me insight into managing classroom settings, planning engaging activities and supporting children’s individual needs, even though I’m still building experience with additional needs specifically.
One of my proudest moments was during a recent school placement, where I worked one-on-one with a child who was shy and struggling to engage. Over time, we built a great connection and by the end of my time there, they were more confident and participating in class. It reminded me exactly why I’m pursuing a career in this field.
My Qualifications
I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, have completed a basic first aid training, and have an up to date DBS check.

I’m available most of the time and aim to be as flexible as possible to suit your schedule. If you need me at a time I’m not usually available, feel free to reach out — I’ll always do my best to make it work!

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.50 per hour
My rates are flexible depending on the number of children, times and any specific needs.
As a general guide, I usually charge around £12 per hour.
