My name is Kara MacKellar. I am 42 years old. I live in Paisley, Renfrewshire with my husband and our 2 sons who are nearly 11 and 6. We have a dog and a cat who are very much part of the family too so I love animals. I am a very caring kind person who is extremely bubbly and positive and like to do my job with a smile which my references will attest to. I love being outside on most days with my dog, so I'm a big advocate for children being outside too in all weathers! As both my children will be able to vouch for! I love reading especially crime drama novels or any true stories. I love watching films especially comedy / action or drama. My passion in life has always been working with children from birth right up to age of about 12/13 I have experience with and I have nannied for many families throughout my career.
My Experience
I have 28 years childcare experience. My experience starts from the age of 14/15 when I was babysitting neighbours children in the evenings this started my passion for working with children that I worked in private nurseries for 10 years then 14 years nannying for various families in Glasgow and surrounding areas such as Kilmacolm and the Westend, Cambuslang, East Kilbride and Ralston. I'm currently working for Renfrewshire Council and have been for the last 4 and half years again with variety of age groups currently in the baby room but have experience with 2/3 and 3/5 ages too. I have qualifications in level 2 and 3 in Childcare and Education, Child Protection Training, First Aid needs renewed but would do that for relevant post. I drive and have my own car. I have excellent references and I can show certificates at interview stage.

My Availability
My availability is fairly flexible, ideally looking for 3 days per week (any days) but I would consider 2 days for right family. My husband is a Firefighter so he works shifts and he can be flexible with my work arrangements if need be. Part time is very much what I'm looking for and I can be as flexible as I be can for the right family. I also don't mind walking family dog if need be or doing light household duties such as laundry/hoovering. Babysitting now and again if plenty notice given.

My Fees
- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
For 3 days I would charge £16 an hour gross.
For 2 days I would charge £17 an hour gross
