About Me
Hi there, I am new to childcare.co.uk and I am excited to be able to care for and look after your precious children. I am currently a midwife working at St Thomas Hospital in London and have been qualified since 2017. I mainly work on the Postnatal Ward. I am now reducing my hours to part time so I have more time available for baby sitting/childcare/newborn care/ infant feeding support.
Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym and have started taking roller skating lessons. I also enjoy the theatre and comedy.
I am also a member of trusted housesitters where I occasionally look after people's homes and pets whilst they are away on holiday.
My Experience
I have been a midwife at St Thomas for the past 8 years. My main role is working on the postnatal/ traditional care unit assisting new parents to adapt and care for their new born baby. I have vast experience in caring for newborns including assisting mothers with breastfeeding and also infant feeding whether or not they decide to use formula or breastfeed. I value my job immensely and I feel I can benefit parents in their own environment and have lots of advice to give.
I also have experience in nannying and childcare whether it's a longer term role or babysitting so mum/ parents can have a well earned evening out.
My Qualifications
BSc honours in Midwifery.
Working towards becoming a qualified lactation consultant.
