About Me
We are a family of four based in Long Ashton, near Bristol. We have a wonderful daughter who is 4 and a 2 year old son, plus a dog and cat.
Our gorgeous daughter, Kleio, has Down Syndrome and is about to start at our local village school. She is a real delight, full of joy, extremely social and a happy little girl. Kleio largely uses makaton and some single words to communicate but she is nearly always able to get her point across. She loves role play, going to the playground, music, singing and most importantly, dancing! Our son, Alex, goes to our local nursery 4 days a week and is a proper chilled little dude who idolises his big sister.
I work from home in television production and their Dad works in the NHS full time.
My Requirements
As Kleio starts school in September we are looking for a PA/Nanny/Childminder who can pick her up four days a week (Tues- Fri) and look after her for a couple of hours until we finish work (3.15pm- 5.15pm) This could look like taking her to the playground, making her an easy snack, reading to her or just chilling with her at home if she's tired.
We'd also be looking for someone who can do occasional weekend work and take her out for the day so that her Dad and I can have a bit of time with Alex and take him to places we might avoid with his sister.
We're ideally looking for someone who has SEN experience and can use makaton or is willing to take a course, as this is the most reliable way of communicating with Kleio and avoids frustration from everyone!
