My Experience
Phonics Support: Skilled in delivering structured phonics interventions using schemes such as Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds, or similar approaches. I can tailor sessions to meet individual learning needs, ensuring pupils grasp phonemic awareness, blending, and segmenting skills effectively.
Maths Interventions: Confident in supporting students with basic number skills, number bonds, place value, and problem-solving. I use practical resources to help children develop fluency and understanding in maths.
Individual & Small Group Support: Experienced in working one-to-one and in small groups, adapting my approach to suit different learning styles and abilities, including those with SEN or EAL needs.
My Qualifications
I have 10 years experience of working as a Teaching Assistant from Year 1 - Year 6 (KS1 & KS2)
I have worked with small groups and 1:1 for interventions in Maths, Phonics, Reading. I have also run ELSA sessions for the same age groups. (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant)
