About Me
I currently work in a mainstream school as a SEN Teaching Assistant. I have previous additional experience with both SEN Children and adults, in a mainstream school environment, and special education programs as well as residential home care.
Currently I am a 1 to 1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a child with additional needs who is on a reduced timetable, then, I hold interventions for children with a lower ability, to be able to get them to the targets they need and work with them in their understanding and learning at school.
I hold interventions for most school subjects, including English, Maths & Phonics. I use a range of different intervention strategies based on the child I’m with, and what is best for their needs.
I am available in the evenings and weekends until the school holidays then I am available weekdays during the daytime as well.
My Experience
I have experience with children with all kinds of additional needs, however I have specifically worked with children with autism or are on the ASD spectrum, foetal alcohol syndrome, Down syndrome and ADHD.
I have had outside personal experience with children and adults with additional needs as I have had family members throughout my life take on roles such as residential care workers and foster parents for children with special needs specifically, so I have developed knowledge and skills in understanding and communicating with children and adults with disabilities and in all kinds of environments.
As mentioned I have held interventions with children ranging from 4-11, where the focus is dependant on their ability and struggles, with a variation of strategies to help improve learning and outcomes and have been a teaching assistant in reception and year 1 classes, as well, so teaching the basics of phonics and reading has really aided in my experience and knowledge in tutoring older children in their phonics, reading and writing.
My Qualifications
I have several certifications in EYFS & SEN, working 1 to 1 as well as my DBS. I have both an enhanced Child DBS & and an enhanced Child & Adult DBS.
My Availability
My availability at the moment is evenings and weekends, however when the school holidays start (around the end of July) I will be available all days.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £20.00 per hour
Starting rates roughly between £15-£20, but
to be discussed with the client as my experience and the role depends on the needs specific to the client.
