My Experience
I’ve spent 10 summers working at a summer camp. Four as a camp counselor, two as admin staff and four as the waterfront director. I taught swim lessons, looked after large groups of campers throughout the summer during activities, free time and meals, I also facilitated bedtime routines and wake up routines as well as fire drills and mediated during disputes.
I’m also a qualified primary teacher, specialising in upper primary (year 3 to 6) so can absolutely help with homework and have had a year of experience in the classroom.
I’ve recently spent the summer looking after a 6 month old baby for our camp nurse, going on walks, swimming, feeding, changing, putting her down for naps and making her smile as much as possible with songs and silly noises (I have absolutely no issue being silly if it makes children happy)
