About Me
Hello, I'm a single parent working in Capital Markets Software Sales in the City. I've been divorced for 6 years and have a 19yr old son at University, and a 10 year old son. I have been managing perfectly well on my own until now as I had shared custody with their Father. However, recently that's in flux and I'm full time single parenting my youngest. I normally go into the office 3 days, but still get back for the school bus which arrives circa 4:30. However, I also made up all the work commitments in my 'week off'. The situation has recently changed and full-time single parenting is a very different proposition! But not to worry, I'm very organised and plan well in advance,and the house is never a mess or anything like that!
My Requirements
There are only two more weeks left of school so really I need someone to take my youngest to summer camp (in Wimbledon), and then pick him up and stay with him until about 7pm (TBC). It you can't do this bit though then I can make alternative arrangments and it's not a deal breaker. What I really need once term starts, is someone to be at home when he arrives on the school bus at 4:30, give him supper, supervise that he takes a shower, and help with a bit of homework (they hardly get any), and then do some activities if there's time left. At the moment he doesn't go to any clubs outside of school but if he does from September, these will be discussed in advance and my preference is that they are within walking distance of our home. This will only apply about three days a week and almost never on a Friday. The boxes I've ticked below are for the summer holidays from w/c 28th July. But once term starts, it'll likely be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. And in some weeks the Monday and Wednesday will be switched out (I have a 2 weekly contact schedule with the other parents so I have to accomodate that too), but I have a very detailed spreadsheet so you'll know very far in advance. It won't change, it's just that we work in a 2 week block so its hard to tick the right boxes below. Other than that my youngest likes Art, Lego, Sport, Dancing, Music. But he needs a firm hand and routine so someone with experience is needed.
