My Experience

I have been a nanny for 5 years now looking after babies and toddlers. This includes taking them to their daily classes, parks and days out. I have implemented age appropriate activities to engage the children’s physical, emotional development. I have prepared safe balanced meals for the children in my care. I have been able to run errands including grocery shopping runs eg. I have been able to assist with feeding and nappy changes. I have utilised positive reinforcement techniques to encourage children’s self esteem. I have developed and maintained effective communication with parents about the children’s day and what they have been up to.

I have also had 5 years nursery experience following the EYFS planning fun activities for all the children in my care. I have been able to plan and lead activities like arts and crafts, music, and cooking. Helping children learn numeracy and language skills through games and stories.
Ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children. Feeding and changing babies, and supervising meals for older children.
Keeping the nursery clean and organized.
Keeping parents updated on their child's progress. I have been able administer medication and providing first aid when needed.
I have been supporting children with special educational needs, adapting activities to suit different developmental stages.

Level 3 Childcare and diploma qualification
