Hi, Welcome to Ellie’s Explorers!
My name is Ellie Marriott and I am 21 years old. I have recently been registered by Ofsted as a Childminder in Kingsthorpe, Northampton. I have always wanted to work with children, but I have also always wanted to be a mum. After having my son in 2023 I spent most of the time during the night-time feeds looking into what it takes to be a Childminder and what I would need to register, I wasn’t sure it was achievable but I believed in myself and here we are!
I have previously worked in a nursery, but a lot of my experience comes from being a mum. I am so excited to begin this journey, I have spent all my spare time over the last year getting my house ready to welcome your families into, and learning everything that I possibly can. My ratio will be no more than 1:4, this means that I will be able to offer more individualised care.
As a childminder I will provide a
home-based nurturing environment, home-cooked meals, a close relationship between myself and your child/yourself and continuity of care. Furthermore, I am not limited to one setting, therefore we will often visit various places such as parks, museums, farms, libraries and much more, I also follow the EYFS just like nurseries do and I will also have regular inspections by Ofsted to ensure I am following the EYFS.
My Experience
As mentioned above, I have previously worked in a Nursery, specifically in the Pre-school room. I really enjoyed this job and gained so much from it.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I charge £6.50 an hour, this is inclusive of extras such as Nappies, wipes and meals.
