About Me
I am a very polite and motivated individual who has a great passion for caring and educating children of all ages. I consider myself to be extremely reliable, dedicated and hard working towards the growth and development of the children whilst in my care. This is the main reason why I have decided to follow a career in childcare as I gain a great sense of reward seeing the children happy on a day to day basis. I ensure children learn every day and this is done by making sure the children are busy with activities, and socialising with other peers to improve their social skills and confidence amongst other children.
On a personal level I am a mum of three lovely children, I have an up-to-date DBS check, ofsted registered, a clean driving license and own a car which allows me to be mobile amongst a variety of locations. I do not smoke and would prefer the family to be non smokers. In my spare time I like to socialise with my family and friends, I enjoy keeping fit and healthy and enjoy family times with my own family.
My Experience
I have been a nanny for the past 12 years working with children from 6months to 15years old as well as having my own family and gaining lots of experience with newborns.
Within my nanny roles I have ensured the care and wellbeing of the children is paramount as well as learning and educating through play. I ensure partnership with parents is extremely important and have had great relationships with all the families I have worked for. Within my roles I have established sleeping routines, weaning, potty training, behavioural management, planning day to day activities; including taking the children to groups with peers of similar ages, after school clubs, school runs. I am also happy to ensure home cooked meals are offered.
In February 2021 I completed a birth and postnatal doula course after having my
Second child it gave me another passion for the birth and postnatal period and I believe it is extremely important for families throughout that period to have continuity of care and are supported throughout the most precious time. I also take bookings for doula work for birth or the postnatal period so am happy to be contacting regarding that too.
I am currently on maternity leave and looking for a new venture in 2024
My Qualifications
I have completed the CACHE level 3 Diploma in childcare and education at oaklands college in 2008-2010
I have completed the CACHE level 2 certificate in childcare and education at oaklands college in 2007-2008.
I have a General First Aid and a First Aid in Early Years qualification and also a Food Hygine qualification.
I gained 8 GCSE's whilst at secondary school.
