About Me
my name is Amanda and I'm a fully qualified nursery nurse, working as a childminder in Warton, close to BAE Systems.
I am married with 2 girls aged 18 and 15 years. We also have a cat and a young dog. I am ofsted registered and received "good" on all parts of my last inspection August 2019. I have been fully qualified for 26 years and have many years experience in nurserys and as a self employed childminder.
I aim to offer a homely environment where children feel comfortable and confident within my care. Newly built playroom added 2017 which is bright and stimulating where children can explore the toys that are on offer. The children have instant access to the renovated garden that is used all year long with various outdoor activities.The children get to participate in many different activities to help their development such as , arts and crafts, messy play, park visits and local toddler groups.we also visit the zoo and Beach. I also provide home cooked nutritious meals and snacks. Being an ofsted registered childminder means I follow the EYFS and address each child's individual needs.
My Experience
I have worked in private and military funded nurseries for 10 years after qualifying . For the last 16 years I have worked as a self employed childminder and have excellent references.

Amanda has cared for my daughter she she was 9 months old . She looks forward to going and is always very excited when we arrive in the morning.
Amanda has made my return to work really easy knowing I am leaving my daughter in a environment where she is happy .
My little girls development so far has been amazing.
They are always having trips out and get up to plenty of activities including arts and crafts.
I love that she’s in a home from home family environment whilst I’m at work.

Where do i even start? Cannot recommend Amanda enough!
she has cared for my son since he was 1.5 until school age. He's such a happy boy and i think a lot of it it's because of what Amanda teaches them.
She makes them feel like they are part of the family. Activities are great, good variety of meals.
She's fantastic! thank you so much!

Amanda looked after my son for several years from newborn to starting school. She is absolutely fabulous, flexible when she needs to be and always willing to help. The children are always having fun, going out for trips and walks. Amanda treated my son and the other children like her own children which is just what you need when you are leaving them all day. In four years I never had a worry about my son, I knew he would be happy, fed and loved !! Would absolutely recommend ! 5 star child minding ⭐️

Amanda has cared for my child from the age of 6 months old until school age.
I couldn't have asked for better care or communication. Amanda's relationship with my daughter was fabulous. Her amazing personal qualities made me 100% happy with Amanda's care of my daughter for the past 4 years. This includes amazing home cooked nutritional meals each day, a range of varied educational and fun activities and excursions to play groups and parks.
She has enabled my daughter to develop into a happy, confident, kind and considerate little girl.

My little girl has been with Amanda since she was 9 months old. Amanda has been amazing from the very 1st day. I was torn between a childminder and nursery at first but can honestly say having Amanda in my little girls life is one of the best decisions I ever made. Amanda takes the time everyday to produce home cooked nutritious meals and takes her on outings every week to the local baby and toddlers groups so she gets to experience bonding with other children.
Amanda plays a massive part in my little girls life and development. Her personality speaks volumes, her speech is coming on leaps and bounds and her attitude to life is amazing. Nothing is ever too much trouble and as a parent I love to see my little girl so settled and happy in a routine. It makes my life so much easier knowing shes in the best care possible whilst I'm at work.
She is now 2 and a half years old and I am dreading the day we have to part ways and say our goodbyes when she goes to school. Thankfully I have a few more years to worry obout that!
If you are looking for a loving home for your child to be cared for then look no further. Amanda is the childminder for you.

My daughter has been with Amanda over a year. We could not have found a more welcoming and loving setting. Our daughter has grown in confidence and developed so many new skills with Amanda. She provides healthy and nutritious food which our daughter loves. Amanda is always happy to discuss anything anytime we've needed to offer reassurances or advice to us. We feel like family. Can not think of anywhere else I would feel so comfortable leaving our daughter. There is always a fun day planned and regular updates on Thier fun adventures.

Amanda has looked after our daughters for 20 months now and we couldn’t praise her highly enough. In that time our 2 year olds development has come on leaps and bounds- her speech and confidence is brilliant. When I had my third daughter last June there was no doubt that Amanda would look after her too- she made such an effort to bond with my daughter while I was off on maternity leave that when I went back to work there were no issues at all. She’s really accommodating at short notice and understands that sometimes being a working mum means things happen that are out of our control and she’s always happy to help. I know my girls are happy and settled and that really helps me when I am at work – the texts and pictures I get during the day are great. Having had our 6 year old in nursery until she went to school I can honestly say the level of care my daughters receive from Amanda far exceeds that of an expensive day nursery. Her experience and the facilities she has available are second to none. She is honestly like part of the family and our girls love going to her. The only reason we are leaving her is because we are relocating to Portsmouth and even though we have asked many times for her to come she has said no!!
