About Me
I offer FREE 2, 3 and 4 year funded places in Boothtown, Halifax with my Daughter Nicole, I also work with another childminder Lyndsay I have worked in Childcare for 23 years and when I became a Mother in November 2008, I decided I would like to start my own business, look after my daughter and also have the benefit of looking after other children, which I have always enjoyed doing. I use the EYFS in my planning and allow th children to participate in planning activities, this encourages children to develop more from their everyday experiences. I provide home cooked meals and a variety of nutritional snacks. We thrive on offering a home from home environment with fun activities, which allows each child to develop to their full potential. We have an enclosed outdoor area, where the children can access a range of activities, for example the see saw, slide, cars, sand and water activities. We also go on outings to the park, museums, cinema, Play gyms and farms depending on ratios and transport. I plan activities around the children I have on each day and their daily routine.
We have a separate playroom for holiday and before and after school care children with a range of activities for their age range. I allow the older children ample opportunities to do a range of activities that will challenge them and allow them the opportunity to try things for themselves, but with support if needed.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 20 years in 3 Nursery settings. Before becoming a Mother I was Deputy Officer in Charge of a Nursery, where I spent my time with the children, doing invoices, planning various outings and activities and organising staff training. I have completed my basic Senco training and have previously worked with children with additional needs.
My Qualifications
I am a fully qualified N.V.Q level 3 Nursery Nurse I have completed my childminding course and a wide range of other relevant training courses to do with childcare, which include, EYFS, Basic SENCO, Observing young children level 1 and 2, How to be an effective key person, long, medium and short term planning, Safeguarding Children, supporting children with English as a second language, I also have my peadiatric first aid, food hygiene and respiratory training, Gdpr training. I keep myself updated with current legislations using a variety of resources. I go on various training courses throughout the year to extend and develop my understanding of childcare, to ensure I provide the best care for every child.
My Availability
I am OFSTED registered. I have full and part time places available, NO minimum days/Sessions.
I offer before and after school care Monday to Friday at Akroydon school. I also provide holiday care for various schools.
2,3 and 4 year funding available.
Discounts available and I accept Childcare vouchers and tax free funding.
I have places available now for before and after school care, holiday care, I have limited availability for September 2024 and have a couple of places coming available for January 2025.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Full days- £35.00 7.30am-5.30pm
Includes 3 meals, 2 snacks and milk/juice/water/wipes.
7 am starts are available at an additional cost.
Am/pm- £22.50- 7.30am-12.00pm/12.30-5.00 (these times are a guide and can be flexible, depending on my ratios)
1 meal, 1 Snack and milk/juice/water.
Partial day-930-200-£22.50
1 meal, 2 snacks, juice, milk, water.
Before and After school- £15.00 for Akroydon School
2 meals and drinks.
Before school-£7.50
Breakfast and drinks.
After school -£10.00
Tea and drinks.
Outings- £5 contribution for outings in the school holidays.

Funded places-£5 per day for consumables. Wrap around care also available.

I am registered with a few voucher schemes and also registered for Taxfree childcare.
Pick up and drop off at your home can be arranged if needed for surrounding areas.
Fresh meals are provided, with Fresh Fruit and Vegetables.

Hours can be flexible.
