my name is Joanne, (JoJo) I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in the Acomb/Holgate area of York. I qualified as a teacher in 2010 and l have nearly 25 years experience in childcare in a variety of settings and an extensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage. I have been a childminder for 12 years. I have my own 2 children aged 13 and 10

I have been a childminder for 12 years and have nearly 25 years experience working with children in a variety of settings, nurseries, schools, pre schools, holiday clubs and as a gymnastics coach as well as being a mother.
My Qualifications
PGCE lower primary
BA (hons) Education Studies
Foundation Degree Supporting Learning
BTEC ND Early Years
I also have recent and upto date first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding qualifications and regularly take part in CPD courses.

Our daughter spends 4 days a week with Jo & absolutely loves it. She started when she was 10months & is now almost 3. She settled in so well & loves all the play groups & activities which Jo does with her. She is so well cared for & I am delighted that we were able to find a childminder who creates such a loving environment for her to spend the days she can’t be at home. Really couldn’t recommend her enough.

Joanne is absolutely fanastic with jayden and has created a great play setting and trusted environment. We trust her so much and love how much he has learnt whilst he has been in her care, he is always given the opportunity to improve his social skills as she takes them to toddler groups and dance class, but we also love the way she delivers early learning and the constant feedback we get as parents. Our sons are similar ages and get on so well. If we werent moving from the area we would never have taken jayden away from her setting. Its rare to find genuine people who have the same passion for the care of your child as you do, but with joanne this is exactly what you are getting. We reccomend her so highly and will be sorry to no longer be with her. *****
