My Summary
About Me
In the process of relocating to Liphook, Hampshire in November.
I am a qualified childcare professional with over 15 years’ experience, working in many different childcare settings. I am confident implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage into my daily practice, providing educational but loving care for the children- providing learning journals for the children under 4 I care for in line with the current guidelines to monitor, develop and track your children’s development and progress as they grow.
A bit about me personally, I currently live with my daughter and my dog. We come from a big family of childcarers, my nan was a childminder for 60
Years, mum is a nanny, sister is a nanny and we love meeting up together to share special memories with the children we care for as they become part of our family as much as I will yours.
I am currently a Ofsted nanny in Woking for two lovely families, for three children, one in school, preschool and one full time as well as Nelly. A family share between two families sharing the houses between the children. Their ages are from 1 years to 6 years. I am currently in the process of relocating to Liphook in Nov 24 to be closer to my family for support with my daughter.
My daughter Nelly is currently three years old, she does come to work with me currently however she will be starting pre school from January 25 and full time school September 25. I do have occasional help to care for her through the week. I am very keen to have Nelly socialised and her joining in with all the daily life experiences we encounter.
From experience I have found that it helps single children families develop their learning and development from being with other children, gaining the benefits having another child along side them (social skills, encouragement, communication, sharing skills, confidence, interaction and fun!) I love being very house proud along with being a dog mum to my french bulldog Indi who is 5 years old, a bit of an old girl now but loves the fuss. I like taking long dog walks and exploring the forests in local areas and having family round in my free time.
My current role consists of providing fun, safe, educational days for the child, preparing and cooking his lunch, bulk cooking food for the freezer for parents to have healthy quick meals when I’m not at work, providing a range of educational activities to complete day to day and liaising with the family to insure all parties are happy with the care I provide. My currently families are happy for us to spend most of our time out and about exploring, trips, play groups, dog walks etc. Often pop to my house for lunch, play times to meet other nannies, doing messy activities and walking my pup to help the children have responsibilities and look after her with me.
My past nannying roles I have cooked for the family, changed the children’s bedding, children’s washing and all the normal nannying duties.
My previous experience has taught me to work well in a team and independent working environments. I have previously been commended for my working relationships and ability to communicate well with parents, families and other professionals in my roles.
I am trustworthy, kind and I am very passionate about providing a secure, fun and loving base for the children I care for, like I do for my own child. I like to provide thoughtful touches to my work, providing craft and exciting activities of interest to the children, encouraging them to lead a healthy lifestyle and teaching them to be involved in cooking meals and snacks.

My Experience
Nanny
Started nannying in February 2019 to currently, have cared for four families long term since Nannying. As well as working for a nannying agency.
Lead Practitioner Nursery Nurse
Working in a Nursery ages ranging from 3 months to 4 years, working in a team to provide 45 under fours with a safe, caring, and fun educational environment. I am a key worker to 11 children, providing them with weekly planned activities linked with their current interests to encourage learning in particular areas of the EYFS. Helping to lead the staff in our room, arranging outings and setting up the room daily with water play, messy play, outside areas, painting and small world set ups for them to explore. I also help to serve up a range of meals and snacks to all the children.
Childminder
2012-2018
Working from my home as a childminder I provided care for a large amount of children over that time, still having regular contact with the families to this day. I was named outstanding/good from Ofsted due to my setting and my practises. I provided funding for the children in my care who were eligible, providing education to all. I provided the children in my care with a safe, loving base for the children to rely on and seek comfort from as well as taking them on many trips, providing a range of education activities and encouraging them to join in with cooking. I also worked with other professionals to help children with their needs working with speech therapists, physical therapists and the services for young children. As well as all the childcare responsibilities I was in sole charge of my business providing invoices, policies and procedures, completing the necessary paperwork, funding forms and lots more.
Childminding assistant
2009-2012
Growing up as a childminded child it was in my DNA, being very maternal I started to be trained by my mother as her assistant to become a childminder. My duties in this role where to learn what I didn’t know already having lived with my mother all my life with her as a childminder I knew how to care for the children. She taught me how to run a childcare business as well as updating me on laws and regulations I had to abide by when running my own childcare setting.
Beauty therapist
2005-2009
Working in a range of different beauty salons I provided a wide range of treatments to my clients, learning how to be professional at all times and provide that friendly face people can de stress to when relaxing. Working as a team with students that came to learn from me about the trade I found the whole experience a big learning curve and I will carry those skills with me forever.
