My name is Louise Stuckey and I am a registered childminder and currently have vacancies.
I live in Chiseldon and have use of a separate Nursery room in my garden, where we have the space to be creative and messy. We have ample outdoor space, which is exclusive to my childcare families and seperate from my family garden.
Due to the effects of Covid 19 I closed my Nursery in 2020 and have decided to return to a home based childminding setting, where I feel I can combine the best bits of a Nursery with the best bits of childminding to create my dream setting. I feel that childminding allows me to keep our bubble small and therefore keep the children safer then I could in a larger setting, reducing the amount of people who access our premises.
I am a qualified and experienced practitioner with over 12 years experience working with children aged 0-11 years and have attained the following qualifications:
* BA (Hons) Business Degree (L6 Qualification)
* EYPS - Early Years Professional Status (L6 Qualification)
* NVQ L3 qualification in Childcare and Early Years Education
* Clear DBS
* First Aid Qualified
* DSL - Designated Safeguarding Lead Qualification
* Food Hygiene Qualification
(as well as having attained many other childcare related certificates).
I work with an amazing college who I have recently registered as a childminder too, who is also:
* L3 Qualified in Childcare and Early Years Education
* First Aid Qualified,
* Clear DBS
* Safeguarding Qualified
* Food Hygiene Qualified
(as well as having attained many other qualifications over the 6 years she has worked for me).
We also have a qualified Early Years Practitioner who works with us who is:
* L3 Qualified in Childcare and Early Years Education
* First Aid Qualified,
* Clear DBS
* Safeguarding Qualified
* Food Hygiene Qualified
We have always enjoyed getting out and about but in the current climate and due to the effects of Covid 19, we are having to adapt and do things a little differently. We encourage lots of outdoor play still and are privileged to have lots of fields and open space right on our doorstep to allow children to explore and connect with nature, away from other groups of people. We have COVID 19 Policies and Risk Assessments in place and aim to keep our little people as safe as possible, while also ensuring the impact on their learning and opportunities, are as low as possible, so they can continue to learn through play, form special friendships and have fun!
We have lots of activities, crafts, toys and resources available. We offer a mixture of child initiated and adult led activities and play opportunities, appropriate for all ages.
As part of the EYFS we track children's learning and progress via our online system, Babysdays.
All parents will have access to the system via their own personal log in where they can view photos of their childrens day, see information on their child's learning and progress, access end of term reports and add their own comments and observations.
All paperwork is completed online such as Childcare Contracts, Policies and Procedures for the setting, Accident and Incident Forms and all Communications such as Newsletters and any Local and National updates which effect us as a setting, are sent out via Babysdays.
***Please contact me for a copy of our Parent Information Pack to find out more about what we have to offer!***
Visits are able to take place upon arranged appointment and at times outside of my working hours, to ensure I can safely accommodate your family and to allow cleaning measures to be thorough. If you are interested in a space at my setting, please give me a call or email to discuss your requirements.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Louise
My Experience
I have been working as a childminder since October 2008.
Over the years my business grew, taking on 2 members of staff and operating at the maximum capacity as a childminder.
In 2019 I expanded to a Nursery setting.
Due to the effects of Covid 19 I decided to close the Nursery and return to childminding to manage a smaller 'bubble' and return to being a home based provider, whereby my premises is exclusive to my business.
I have experience of working in an After school club and Holiday club.
I also have experience working in a mixed year 1 and 2 reception class and in a local nursery.
I have also worked as a live in nanny (for 6 months).
I have always been in the company of young children from growing up in a large family and looking after children my whole life.
My Qualifications
I have complete my EYPS (Early Years Professional Status).
I am a graduate from Brighton University where I obtained a 2.1 BA (Hons) Business Degree.

SWITCH – First Aid for Child Carers; Food Safety for Child Carers
