About Me
I'm Shirley, a registered Childminder
with lots of experience with all ages of children and resources for all ages. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage for under 5's. Our morning routine: Social time and freeplay, nursery rhymes/storytime, attend local playgroups or parks. Afternoon: themed activity, nature walk, naps or freeplay, puzzles/craft. Outdoors: I have a lawn and patio to use for sand and water play, ride on cars, a double seated trike and a patio swing seat. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance and have Policies to view on request.
My Experience
I have been Childminding for 17 years so have gained lots of experience working with families. I keep updated on the Early Years Foundation Stage which is the guidance used to track children's learning from 0 to 5 years. Children's learning is also supported through activities and time for free play.
My Qualifications
I have Paediatric First Aid Training, a Certificate in Providing a Stimulating Environment and Outdoor Play. Safeguarding Children and Child Protection Certificates. I am also trained as a Safeguarding Designated Officer.
My Availability
Age 1 year upwards. Monday immediate availability Wednesday availability space from July 2025. Funded places - check eligibility and criteria on Childcare Choices Website. Contact me with your requirements and any questions.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.80 per hour
From £48 per day. I provide two healthy snacks plus outings to local playgroups, libraries and parks, toys, books and learning activities. My up-to-date First Aid and Safeguarding Certificate is available for you to view.
Opening hours between 7.45am and 5.30pm.
Deposit or retainer and Contract secures the place. Settling in sessions on signing of contract. Please read my profile fully to see what I offer.

My son has been attending shirley's since he was 10 months old, she has a lovely caring nature and i knew he would be in safe hands. He comes home happy and clean and is always learning new things. Lovely person and great childminder

My daughter has been with Shirley since my daughter turned 1. My little girl has come on leaps and bounds. She loves going to shirleys. Shirley takes her to the library and playgroups which my daughter loves. Highly recommend Shirley as a childminde

Thanks for the review, I love having her. She amazes me with her energy and enthusiasm for learning new things.
My daughter really enjoyed her time at shirly’s house. I would highly recommend her. It was my daughter first time to be in a daycare but it was a great experience for her thanks to Shirly’s help.
Also, the place is convenient and clean.
