About Me
I am a registered childminder, I have been registered for the last 17 years.... My inspection reports are available to view online ... I have two children who are 18 & 14 and I have two older children 34 & 32. I provide a loving and fun environment where children can grow and become confident individuals.
I provide a pick up and drop off service as well as meals...I also provide child care within Whitburn/Blackburn/Fauldhouse / Bathgate and surrounding areas for pre-school children...
I live on a croft just outside east Whitburn .
I have a large back garden where children can play, explore, create and have fun .. I attend various playgroups within the community along with an outdoor nature group where children get to be involved in lots of stimulating activities and back to nature experiences, helping them to grow into happy healthy individuals ..

My Experience
I have over 30 years of childcare experience with my own children and nieces and nephews...aswell as my 17 years of childminding.
I have completed my First aid training , Food & Hygiene , Child protection and various other childminding courses - certificates held. I offer early year funded places for 3 & 4 year olds ..
My Qualifications
I have completed by SVQ3 in childcare .. aswell as having attended various courses on Autism, Froebel play, Stem play , loose part play . Aces within the early years.
My Availability
I will have a full time space for age 0-5 years starting in July .. I also offer adhoc school holiday care .

We were with Hazel for over 3 years and sadly had to leave due to moving away. I had lots of issues with my son separating from me but this was never an issue with Hazel, always so loving and caring❤️ we would have been lost without her.

The most loving patient kindest and caring person! This women is incredible she has been nothing short of amazing to us a family! Making our girls time with her enjoyable fun engaging and hassle free. Hazel has the warmest heart and treats our girls like her own! She is constantly taking them to parks soft plays, as well as doing so much arts crafts and educational games at home. My 2 girls absolutely adore Hazel! She picks them up drops them off and is so accommodating! I get so many beautiful pictures of them and they have came on leaps and bounds! Hazel feels like family to us and we couldn’t be without her! My oldest has now moved on to nursery but my 2 year old still goes and she absolutely adores her time at hazels! I love that Hazel takes the time to speak to me at drop of telling me stories of our girls from there day! Hazel is genuinely the most kindest caring loving childminder out there and it’s a privilege for our girls to be in her care! :)

Hazel looked after my two boys and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better! As I first time mum I was super nervous about leaving my son but when I saw how relaxed he was at hazels this gave me great comfort. My boy went here for 3 years and now my second son is with Hazel. The boys learn lots of new skills and get to meet other children at baby groups. Hazel is always one for been out and about with the children and this is great for their learning and communication skills. I feel that my boys are now part of her family! Will always treasure the time they had with hazel and her family! Thanks again!

When we first accepted Hazel as our childminder I was so worried and anxious and a bit broken hearted at leaving my baby. Hazel eased us and our little girl into it. She took Saoirse a few hours at a time over the summer and we built up to it. She was so caring and understanding and knew what it meant to hand our baby over. I’ve been with Hazel for over two years now and Saoirse loves Hazel and talks about her even when we’re on holiday.
The activities that they do are enriching and fun. They socialise with other childminders and the effort and care put into how they spend their days is wonderful. They have had community days were they’ve had visits from postmen and paramedics. They’ve gone to the library and shopped for their favourite fruit or vegetables. They go to parks and soft play and Kidzeco. They’ve been to the pantomime at Christmas and have painted lanterns in a forest at Chinese New Year. Last month they had a ‘creatures day’ were they encountered various animals. The quality of the time spent with Hazel is priceless.
Hazel’s communication is also great. I get daily photographs and updates of what Saoirse’s been doing. She also details what Saoirse has ate and how long she’s slept.
The space that the children are in is clean, comfortable and a safe environment. I couldn’t imagine Saoirse ever being in a nursery now. I feel so thankful that I happened to stumble upon Hazel and that Saoirse has had such a positive experience.
Like I said, we genuinely couldn’t ask for more.

Hazel cares for our little boy and has had him for years. Myles has complex needs and Hazel goes above and beyond to help him and us as parents. Myles just adores her and so do we. Hazel is patient, loving, fun and very creative. Myles is super busy and has came on leaps and bounds due to Hazel. As a family I have no idea what I would have done without her, she really is the best person I have ever met and I trusted her immediately with our son. Myles loves this women so much and I cannot thank her enough for the love and care she shows our little boy. This is real life Mary Poppins, she is energetic, kind and so hard working we just all love you Hazel ❤️

I recently called Hazel to take care of our son while we were out for a concert, and I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment she arrived, she put us at ease with her warm and friendly demeanour. Hazel was engaging and played games, she read him stories, put him to bed and kept a watchful eye on him while sleeping. My son had a great time and was very happy. Overall, I would highly recommend this babysitter to anyone looking for someone reliable, friendly, and great with kids. I will definitely call her again in the future!

Our wee boy started with Hazel last year and we can see how much he has grown and developed through learning new skills and making new friends all because of Hazel's caring and nurturing Childcare environment.
Hazel is so accommodating and has helped us out when we have required an last minute change to Finns schedule Our wee boy always has a adventure when he is with Hazel either going to the park or and days out in the forrest with nature group and fundays at softplay.
Hazel has became a part of our lives and we will be forever grateful for then care she has given our wee boy Hazel has treated our son as one of her own.

Hazel childminded both my girls Age range from 7/8 months - 5 Years both my girls loved the time spent at Hazels, Hazel always packs the days with lots of fun activities from learning letters, numbers, shapes and roll play to out in the nature exploring, my daughters always came home with the biggest smiles to tell me about there day.
Hazel always keeps you updated with progress any accidents of your child in your daily notebook that’s sent with your child. Hazel has always been so accommodating when dates have needed to be changed, if you need her an extra day she will do her best to help you.
Every child is treated like one of her own, she has a great set up at her home and with Hazels professional, Bubbly and gentle personality it’s just a second home, highly recommend 😃

We used Hazel for 4 years and she was a god send. Hazel was very accommodating around the hours, days and times we needed as these changed over the years.
My daughter learned so much during her time at Hazels. We decided to defer her 1st year at nursery and use her hours for Hazel instead as her development was so advanced due to everything Hazel had taught her.
Hazel was always doing lots of activities, such as nature groups, soft play, farm trips and toddler groups. Her house is also filled with lots of stimulating toys and play equipment. Hazel also done basic learning such as numbers, letters, colours etc and my daughter loved coming home with all the activities they had completed together.
Without Hazel I don't think we would have got through covid, she opened her doors to my daughter but also cared for my son and welcomed them as part of the family. She kept them safe, happy and occupied when the world went crazy and for that we will be forever grateful.
If you are looking for someone who will care for your child as of they are their own then look no further. We could not recommend her enough 😊

Our son has come on leaps and bounds in the year and a half he has spent with Hazel! He’s been on so many fun adventures and made lots of friends.
Hazel provides a great environment for the kids to play and every week they are doing something different - I love seeing all the pictures of his day!
Harris absolutely loved his time with his favourite person and we are so grateful we found Hazel.
