About Me
Hi my name is Claire Witcombe I am married with 3 boys and i'm Ofsted Registered childminder that offers all aspects of care. I offer before and after school care for West end primary school, holiday care and full time, part time, 2yrs, 3yrs and 4yrs funding.
We like to be out and about in the great outdoors and will often be found at a park or nature reserve. Weekly you will find us swimming, interacting with our grandfriends at the local care home and attending weekly gymnastics.I go out with fellow childminders so if you want your child to have the home from home care with lots of social interaction then I'm the childminder for you.
If you were to come into my home whilst I was looking after children you would see happy faces all interacting with each other, with the opportunity for solo play if they wished. There would be decorated walls with children’s work and posters to help guide and teach them. All food they would be eating would be balanced and children will be positively encouraged to try new things but mainly you would see children having fun.
If you want a home from home environment where your child will be treated as a member of the family then I'm the one.for you.
My Experience
I'm trained in paediatric first aid, safeguarding level 1 &2, various healthy eating courses, communication and language courses, pen green being 2 training and level 3 childcare. I regularly attend training course to keep my skills up to date.
I have been a childminder since Feb 2012 and worked with children from 3mths to 11yrs.
I'm currently doing my level 3 Forest school leader training.
My Qualifications
i've attend the required training courses to set up as a childminder. i hold a child first aid certificate, Safeguarding level 1 and Safe guarding level 2.
i hold a DBS certificate
My Availability
I have worked as a busy single mum and fully understand the flexiblilty needed in childcare therefore i operate on a flexible basis.
Before and After school pick up from West End Primary school.
