Hi, I am a 42 year old married mum of two.

In June 2014 I took my husband on as an assistant to help with the childcare and I have a second assistant Sarah who will be available should I need her.
I have over 21 years experience of working with children, within nurseries, nanny work, maternity nursing and childminding.
I encourage lots of craft and creative play to allow the children to use their imagination and express themselves. I also encourage lots of outdoor play, the children love to run around in the garden and play on the slides, trampoline, castle, ride on toys and swing set.
We go on lots of walks, forest school, beach and Parks.
I have qualifications in challenging behaviour, Communication and language, Diploma in childcare, health and social care, and childminding, and i have the neccesary up to date first aid and crb checks and often attend additional learning courses such as safeguarding, forest school learning, behaviour management and EYFS training. I have experience caring for children with additional needs and a second language.
We work closely with Hamford and Frinton chapel preschool but can collect from local schools or nurseries (kirby, Frinton) and can offer wrap a round care.

Nursery work
Pelican place and Witham house nursery
- during my 2 year cache diploma course.
Nanny work
Sole charge of a 3 and 4 year old, full time for over 2 years.
Temporary position covering holiday leave, 14 month old boy.
Sole charge care of a baby girl of 5 weeks old, full time. The little girl then joined me at mine when I became a childminder and she is now at school.
I also have a 16 year old nephew, 13
year old niece and a 13 year old nephew.
My Qualifications
CACHE Diploma in child care and education- grade A
(This was a full time 2 year course learning about all areas of childcare)

My Availability
I work between 7am-6pm Monday, Tuesday and Fridays.
Some flexibility is possible and over night care will be considered.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Rates are £5.50 per hour - minimum of 4 hours, £6 per hour for school hours.
This can be discussed when we meet and flexibility can be arranged due to shift patterns and specific circumstances!
I am able to accept government tax free childcare, 15 & 30 hours per week funded entitlement childcare and government funded hours for 2 to 4 year olds.

Charley has been going to Amanda for only 6 months, before & after school care & also school holidays, but it it was the best move I ever made for him. Amanda cares for all the children like she would her own. All the children love Amanda & Charley really looks forward to seeing her (& Rodney). Amanda is such a warm & lovely person I now count her as a friend not just my childcare provider. The children have a lovely home from home setting & there is plenty to do when at the house & on nice days they are always out & about. Amanda is a amazing childminder I would certainly recommend her without a doubt :-)

It's been a pleasure caring for Chloe. She has developed so much in this last year, a lovely little lady xx
Amanda has been looking after my little boy Maxwell (3 in October) since he was about 4 months old, just a couple of hours a day to start with and then full time. He absolutely loves going to her and he learns so much while he is with her, he is often mistaken for a child much older due to his excellent language skills. He is finishing with her in a couple of weeks while I take my maternity leave (no.2 due in September) but I will definitely send my new little one to her if she has space when I return to work. I would recommend her with no hesitation and credit much of Maxwells development to her hard work and patience.
