About Me
Hiya, I am ofsted registered childminder and have been doing this wonderful job for many many years. I work along side my middle daughter who is also a registered childminder, we have a great relationship and are very similar in the ways we teach our children. I have a beautiful, calm and natural looking playroom full of lots of resources that children are able to explore and learn from. My garden in spacious and we have a few different areas that the children are able to explore including a mud kitchen and construction table underneath our shelter, we have a large patio that children can ride on biles and scooters and a small grass space with a water table and a tunnel. We are always out in the fresh air and do a range of activities out there too. We also visit lots of places throught the week including parks, play areas, librarys, play groups ect. We are a pet friendly setting, I have 2 cocker spaniel pups Peggy an Olive who gentle and love children and I also have 1 young cat Nelly who is quite shy but enjoys been around the children. I always aim to make sure the house has a friendly atmosphere and will make all the children feel welcome and safe.
My Experience
I have been working with children on and off for the past 16 years, first of all I worked in a playgroup while I was doing my nvq2, then i went on to be a midday supervisor at my childrens local school while my childminding took off, then i started my nvq3 and worked in another local school for a while in the nursery and reception classes which i really enjoyed. We have also fostered in the past which was very rewarding and a lovely experience.
My Qualifications
nvq2 -- nvq3 -- nvq 4, first aid -- city & guilds in adult literacy level 1, health and safety, safegaurding, healthy eating, cultural diversity, level 2 healthier food, every child is a talker, healthier food and special diets, makaton, autism, enjoying and achieving, communication, I keep all my courses updated.
