Hello my name is Luisa Claire. I am an OFSTED registered Childminder Angel Care Childminder.
I live in Eaglescliffe with my little boy who is 15 and my little girl who is 11.
Our home is a friendly, loving, secure, family setting and all children that come here are treated as part of our family. Its a home from home environment with the positive approach that all children come here to play and have fun. I find this takes the anxiety away from both parents and children and becomes an exciting time to look forward too, giving parents peace of mind their little darlings are happy.
We are animal lovers and teach all children to be respectful of our animals and others they come into contact with for their own and animals safety. We have a cat who is very friendly, fluffy, playful and brilliant with children, she is mainly outside her choice but does like to come in for cuddles and we have a golden Retriever and a Cockapoo. Both dogs are very gentle and adore children and with full risk assessments in place sometimes accompany us on outings. They have their own crate for down time and own area in garden for hygiene purposes.
I am CRB checked and I am fully OFSTED registered including for overnight care and specialise in anti social hours.
I hold a full clean driving licence and have my own 8 seater transport. I am part of The National Childminding Association and achieved a childcare qualification level II diploma. I am paediatric First Aid Trained, hold many Safeguarding Children Certificates and have received a 5 star food hygiene certificate from The Food Standards Agency.
Please refer below for a list of qualifications and training undertaken.
I do regular development and tracking updates on each early years child in line with their progress and national guidelines, as well as a daily updates summarising how your child has eaten/drank/slept in keeping with their routines, activities we have been doing so you know where they have been, how they felt and can chat about their experiences and share achievements. I actively encourage parents to regularly feedback about home life, activities done together, what your little ones have enjoyed doing or milestones reached.
This not only aids me in my planning and next steps but also in group talks encourages their speech, language, communication and listening skills while developing their personal and social development.
We have 2 playrooms a dedicated early years room filled with real world and vintage resources to incite and encourage child led play while covering all areas of development. Resources include books, mathematical toys, latch board, dolls, weighing scales, shells, starfish, marble eggs, colour and shape toys, telephone, wooden farm, train track, castle, kitchen, school, tool bench and dolls house. Musical instruments, dressing up, dolls, cars, dinosaurs and lots of educational games and jigsaws and a sofa to relax on.
The second playroom is for older children to play in with smaller accessories for safety and is set up with barbies, doll house, ponies, carriages, barbie car, shop, pool set, mermaids and dolls bath water fun, a pool table and has a chaise to relax on.
We also have a library area in the quiet lounge filled with lovely books including all phonics, early readers and free reading and a number of films for special treats. The kitchen is our hub and where we do sit down at the table activities for example homework, school reading books, spellings, arts and crafts, cooking, messy play, painting, gluing, sticking, drawing, play doh.
Outside there is a large enclosed rear grassed garden with toys, 2 storey play house, mud kitchens, chalk boards, tyre balance beam, paddling pool (weather permitting), climbing frame with cargo net, climbing wall, bridge into trees and a slide. We like to spend time in the garden role playing making potions and playing games, gardening and learning about flowers and wildlife.
Children have been very creative and made an army den, a bug hotel, a wishing well and a hedgehog house. To the front the property is gated to ensure children's safety while entering and leaving.
I actively promote routines and will keep as near to your own regarding sleeping, feeding or establish if not already in place. Children need their rest to grow and develop and I ensure they do not become overtired or over stimulated so they are always happy to play and join in, reaching further potential and are not overtired at end of day so you can have quality time together before bed. I have a dedicated sleeping room catering for every age group with a double bed, a cot/junior bed and I also have another cot in a separate room. All younger children will have a nap per day in their own cot/bed, occasionally if on full day outings may be in a pushchair with permission.
We spend a lot of time doing activities outdoors as children love to be able to have their freedom in a safe environment for example walking, play park, feeding ducks, trips to the moors, beach, farms, museums, woods, reservoirs, biking, teddy bears picnics, nature trails, butterfly world etc. Inside activities include indoor play, visiting various groups, Sign language class, library story time, toddler sessions, music classes, soft play, church groups and meeting with other children for play dates.
Children learn social skills, knowledge of the world and develop physically, emotionally and intellectually from going to different places, how to treat people and how to behave and keep safe i.e. walking nicely near busy roads, from being in different social situations and interacting with all ages, genders and cultures. They thrive from fun learning and will have a lot of input into daily planning mainly being child led.
I offer a range of food choices I am able to cater for specific requirements (to be discussed) and will always encourage children to try different things and provide a healthy menu.
Mainly all the children who attend my setting are cared for, played with, listened too, encouraged, nurtured and treated the same as i treat my own little darlings, your child's happiness is my priority.
Please contact me if you would like too to discuss your child/ren and my availability if you feel your child will benefit from being in a family home like ours. Thank you for taking the time to read this and i hope to hear from you soon x
My Experience
I am a parent with 2 young children and have first hand knowledge of other peoples children of all ages, over the past 10 years i have been caring for a number of children ages ranging from 13 weeks to 12 years, including antisocial hours and overnight/weekend care as well as my own 2 children. I have nieces and nephews of different ages and 2 god children, as well as being actively involved with local children's groups. Our house is always filled with little feet that make a house a home and mess makes memories (we have tidy up time too).
I have common sense, a caring loving positive attitude. I am very flexible and will always help if i can. I enjoy being with children, my career is my life i love it and my own children love and enjoy the social experiences and building relationships and friendships with all the little ones and are actively involved with making all the children feel at home here, we promote healthy happy family values and are very much a family home environment.

Luisa is fabulous. I simply couldn't do my job without her.
When my situation suddenly changed Luisa worked with me to provide flexible childcare, facilitating me to continue working.
My son has been going to Luisa's overnight whilst I work nightshifts for 18 months now. Not only is she providing an essential service for me she excels in doing so.
My son was settled from our very first visit when he was reluctant to leave!
What is not to love when I know my son is well cared for. Luisa easily manages his food intolerances and has a wonderful rapport with him. He is happy in her excellent setting within their family home, her delightful dogs, plentiful play facilities inside and outside in a large garden.
My son especially loves the opportunity to play with other children of all ages. Not to mention that he sleeps perfectly there too, on a bed comfier than his own apparently!
I would say Luisa has gone above and beyond making communication, drop offs and collections seamless. Even providing support and friendly advice when I have needed it most.
If you are looking for exemplary childcare especially during unsociable hours I can't recommend Luisa enough.
Luisa provides an excellent service to our son. I contacted her after we were let down by another provider and was given her details by a friend who had recommended her. She was very accommodating and invited us round a few days later. We immediately felt comfortable in her home, but more importantly, our son started playing in the garden straight away and didn't want to leave. She has fantastic facilities for children of many ages as well as a great garden space for outdoor play. Our son has been welcomed into the family and enjoys breakfast and dinner there, and it is great knowing that he has had a delicious homemade meal for dinner! Luisa is very friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with; is often like chatting to a friend at pick up time as she is so easy going and friendly! She is also very flexible and has offered to help out when we have needed her at the last minute. I would highly recommend Luisa as she is fantastic with our son and it is lovely knowing he is going from home to home each day.
Luisa provides an excellent childcare service. After having to find a new childcare provider at very short notice I was given Luisa^s number by recommendation. She was very flexible and impressed me her professionalism.
My son was approaching an age when he had begun to become disengaged with childcare. However after just a few days at Luisa' s it was clear that he was having a whale of a time enjoying a range of activities inside and out. I cannot recommend her enough..
My daughter has been with Luisa and her family for over a year now. I am a single parent, a student nurse and also hold down a job. Both my placements and employment are long and out of usual hours. Luisa and I work together to cover my childcare needs. She is very flexible, offers overnight care and tries to help me wherever she can. Fantastic communication, approachable and my daughter feels like one of the family and never wants to leave. Luisa cooks for the children and surprisingly to me, my daughters eats (usually a fussy eater). If the children are not at school, she will get them out in the fresh air, learning and burning off some much needed energy!
Couldn't recommend enough, so if you are looking for childcare which isn't in your usual 9-5 then this is where you need to be.
Having no family locally, finding the best childminder possible was our priority when I returned to work and we found that in Luisa. My baby started with her at 9 months and 4 months on, the change in my once very clingy baby is just amazing. He now literally jumps into her arms as she opens the door on a morning. It really is a lovely family environment with pets and children of all ages. Luisa does a variety of activities with my baby and takes him to different classes during the week. My husband and I work shifts and Luisa is always very accommodating and makes us both being at work easier knowing that he is so well cared for. Luisa provides me with an update throughout the day about how James is and sends me photos of the various adventures they have got up to and each day sends me a daily diary which is a great help knowing what he’s eaten, how he’s slept etc. We couldn’t ask for more from her and feel so lucky that we found her to care for our baby when we can’t be there
