About Me
I am an Ofsted registered eligible childminder in Minster-On-Sea, Kent. We are called Cots to Crayons! I can offer the free for two, and three and four year old funded places for 15 or up to 30 hours a week. I am married and have 5 children, a 24 year old son, 21 year old daughter, a 10 year old daughter, my youngest daughter is 8 and my youngest son is 4. I have lived on the island for 13 years and absolutely love living in a seaside town. I also have a dog, 2 cats, chickens and rabbits.
My Experience
I spent 5 years working as a teaching assistant with 11-16 year olds; this was mainly on a one to one basis with children with special educational needs. For the next 3 years I worked as a teaching assistant in a local primary school working with year 2, year 4, then finally year 5/6, then I began childminding which I have been doing for 9 years. I absolutely love working with children and with the birth of my third child I knew I didn't want to leave her, but also didn't want to stop working with children, so a career in being a childminder seemed the perfect option. I have done lots of training in my school roles including child protection, English as an additional language, autism training, fine motor skills, I have a current paediatric first aid certificate and in my primary TA position I took individuals and small groups for phonics intervention so have training in that, but also lots of resources available I made for these interventions. I thoroughly love working with the little ones and now I've started childminding and caring for them I can't imagine doing anything else.
I work with a co-minder who is also registered and we have 3 assistants.
My Qualifications
GCSE's: English language, English literature, Maths, Science, French, Geography, Keyboarding, Drama.
A'Levels: English literature, Media studies, Theatre studies.
BA (Hons) English literature and Language.
NVQ level 2 Teaching Assistant.
Pacey childminding pre-registration.
Paediatric first aid training.
Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday from 7.30am until 5.30pm.
I don’t have any vacancies for before and after school care to and from Minster in Sheppey primary school and Minster playgroup.
I can offer term-time only childcare without you incurring any retainer fees during school holidays or I am also available for all year childcare. I currently have vacancies for part-time early years children only.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
Fees are £5.50 per hour for Early Years children - minimum of 4 hours per day.
Fees are £6 per hour for before and after school age children with a minimum of 2 hours per day.
Fees are inclusive of breakfast and snacks.

Nicki has looked after my little one since he was 12 weeks old and he is now nearly 3. She is reliable, friendly and the kids love her. She fills their days with great activities and stimulation and has bent over backwards to be flexible for me when I need extra childcare because of work commitments. I cannot recommend Nicki enough.
