About Me
Hello my name is Sheila and we are Cheeky Chops Childminding.
I am an Ofsted registered “GOOD” childminder living in Enfield and my practise has been 7 years now and all my little cheeky choppers have been and are delightful and we have lots of fun:)
I live in a bright,spacious house in Enfield, which is less then 10 minutes walk to Enfield town train station and lots of bus links, with my partner James and our 10 year old little daughter who loves having little ones around her. We only specialise in pre-schoolers here so everything is geared up for little ones and is very personal and calm.
I have always enjoyed working with children as it is such a happy and fun profession and I am more than confident that my knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and my many years of childcare experience will enable your child to flourish into a happy, healthy and confident little individual and their time spent here with us at Cheeky Chops will help them gain a good bases for their Early Years journey:)

My Experience
I trained as a Nursery Nurse(NNEB) in 1988 at Enfield college and this is still a highly regarded training course which took 2 years full time to complete. Once qualified I went on to work in a variety of settings including day nurseries a nursery school and UCH children's ward. I then decided to work as a nanny in 1996 and have been doing so ever since as I found it such a rewarding and enjoyable job.
So I have a wide range of experience and knowledge of birth to 12years but have mainly specialised in the under fives.
My Qualifications
1988: NNEB (Nursery Nurse Education Board)
2006: Became an Ofsted registered nanny.
2008: Introduction to childcare practice.
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in home based care.
2008: Introduction to quality childminding(2 day course)
2014: CYPOP5
2018. Paediatric 1st Aid.
My most important qualification to date is becoming a mummy myself in 2010:)
My Availability
I am offering my service from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday. All year round except for 4 weeks holiday spread throughout the year and bank holidays.

Our little one has been going to Cheekychops for almost a year now and we're so happy with the standard of care Sheila provides. She has created a wonderful safe environment for the kids in which they seem to thrive, learning, playing and eating very well.
Sheila always keeps them active with trips to the parks, attending toddler groups, messy play and lots of baking to name just a few of the things they get up to.
Like most other people, my husband and I found it hard looking for childcare because you want your child to be safe, nurtured and entertained. Sheila provides all this and more and once we'd met her, it wasn't a hard decision to leave our little one in her care.
Sheila's daughter is wonderful with the other children and is happy to share what she has so they are happy.
Everyday Sheila keeps a diary of what the kids have been up to and it's a great insight into their day. Being able to talk to our daughter about what she's been up to is special and it helps to make you feel like you've been part of their day.
Communication with Sheila is excellent and we love getting the photos and videos she sends.
We really do feel lucky that we have Sheila to look after our monkey.

Sheila has been looking after Jamie for 13 months now. He was always a shy baby who wouldn't go to just anyone - but on our first meeting with Sheila, Jamie was sitting with her and felt right at home straight away - that's when we knew!
Since then, it has only got better. Sheila takes such great care of him, he eats so well and has experienced so much. They go to the park regularly, as well as to toddler sessions and play groups - this has really helped with Jamie's confidence!
Sheila has exactly what we were looking for in a childminder, The communication between us is fantastic, Sheila has put together books for each of the children there and she updates it each day to let us know what Jamie has done for the day, what time he has slept and what he's eaten - we still enjoy reading it to this day!
Sheila's daughter (5) is absolutely brilliant with the children, Jamie looks forward to seeing her before and after school each day.
My husband and I cannot recommend Sheila highly enough. Finding a childminder for Jamie was one of the hardest things we had to do as it's really daunting. From day one Sheila made us feel just as relaxed as Jamie and sent videos and pictures of Jamie playing and laughing - this made returning to work so much easier!
Sheila, we can't thank you enough for everything... We look forward to many more months/years with you!
