About Me

Hello, families! My name is Bawany, and I am a dedicated, caring, and highly experienced nanny with over 17 years of professional childcare experience. Originally from Sri Lanka, I am proud to be a British national living in Colindale, North West London. I am proficient in English, Tamil, and Sinhalese, and I bring a multicultural background and a warm, inclusive approach to my role as a nanny.

As a mother and grandmother myself, I understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel cherished, happy, and supported as they grow. I treat every child I look after as if they were my own, fostering a relationship built on trust, love, and respect.

Skills and Qualities

• Reliable and Trustworthy: Punctuality and dependability are my top priorities. I believe in being a steady and supportive presence for families and their children.
• Organised and Creative: I love creating fun, engaging, and educational activities such as arts and crafts, baking, and imaginative play, and I also ensure children’s environments are tidy, clean, and well-organised.
• Flexible and Energetic: I am adaptable to the varying needs of children and families and bring an energetic, fun-loving spirit to each day.

What I Offer
I am experienced in managing all aspects of a child’s daily care, including:

• Nursery Duties: School runs, children’s laundry, and ensuring playrooms and bedrooms are clean and organized.
• Healthy Meal Prep: I enjoy cooking nutritious meals and snacks and love involving children in the process to help them learn about food.
• Engaging Activities: From arts and crafts to outdoor adventures and educational trips to the zoo or museums, I enjoy planning activities that are enriching, safe, and fun.
• Homework Assistance and More: Whether it’s helping with schoolwork or arranging playdates and after-school activities, I am here to support children’s growth and interests.

My Experience
I have cared for children from newborn up to age four, with the added personal experience of raising my own daughter and caring for my young grandson, nieces, and nephews. I am passionate about nurturing children’s unique personalities, helping them develop confidence and life skills for their future.

My Ideal Family
I am looking for a family who values collaboration and mutual respect, where I can become a true partner in supporting their child’s development. I take pride in building a genuine bond with each child and am committed to fostering an environment where they feel loved, safe, and encouraged.

I am available for interviews and have strong references and letters of recommendation available upon request. I am also available for babysitting and I look forward to connecting with a family that is looking for a responsible, loving, and experienced nanny to join their lives and help their children thrive.
