About Me
hi my name is kate and i am an ofsted registered childminder in shaftesbury, i have 2 children a daughter born in 2006 and a son born in 2011. I worked as a private nanny for 10 years before the birth of My daughter working with new born up until 16.
I work with 2 assistants in a Purpose built room in my garden which is a lovely large space, we are very child led with our activities following children's current interests and expanding their learning. getting children ready for life in school by teaching independence skills.
the children enjoy looking after our Guinea pigs and gerbil.
My Experience
i have 21 years of childcare experience, i worked as a private nanny for 10 years before i had my daughter, i loved looking after other children so felt childminding was the way to go for me. I have now worked as a childminder for 12 years and love working with children. I provide a wide range of activities and like to be out side as much as the weather will allow, love to do cooking and arts and crafts and messy play. My son has been coming to kate for the last year or so and has another year with her before school. I wouldn't even dream of putting my son anywhere else. I love the fact that they do outdoor activities along side their normal learning as my son loves being outside with insects and the dirt. Fantastic childcare at little seedlings from all workers. Kate is fantastic and can't help you enough. Thanks to kate and the team my son is going to be school ready in no time. :-) parent, childminder communications are great as your be sure to know what ypur child us getting up to on a regular basis.. highly recommended.
