About Me
I am a childminder in the south Birmingham area of Kings Norton
I am a level 4 registered childminder due to the amount of training that I have undertaken.
I was inspected October 2022 graded GOOD
I am OFSTED Registered
I have 2 boys.
I have a French bulldog I do have a number of stairgates so that as and when needed Gizmo can be away from children.
I have 2 x level 3 qualification in Childcare plus many other quallifications
I also provide emergency childcare in the event of Teacher Training/Snow Days/ Jury Service.
He is never alone with children obviously. He is kept seperate when needed With regards to mess in the garden he is trained to only do any business in a gravel area at the bottom of the garden which is disinfected and the children also learn not to go down that bottom area so all are safe plus i have artificial turf which is easy to clean.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 18 years since I was made redundant in my previous career.
I do hold NEF funding status so children who qualify for 15 and 30 hours free childcare the term after They turn 9 months can come to myself. If a child qualifies for 2 year old funding They can also attend. I currently have space for funded places and children who qualify for this Autumn need to be registered by the beginning of beginning of July.

What I would say is that if we arrange a visit and you need to cancel then please let me know and we can re arrange. There is nothing more annoying than people not turning up and it can give the wrong impression.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
To be negotiated depending on requirements

seperate before and after school fees so in line with others who do kings norton school and The Green Day Nursery who run a breakfast and after school club
£8 before school start at 7.30
£13 after school which also includes a hot meal based on kings Norton primary finish time other fees would apply for nursery school.
I finish at 5:30pm prompt. I will then charge £5 for every half hour late. If I do not hear from parent my uncollected child policy will kick in which does state that I will contact social services.
I would like to point out that we are restricted to three children under the age of 5 years. If you are looking at flexible childcare due to shift patterns because you may need any day of the week the only way this can be accommodated is to pay my weekly rate of £200 this way I am keeping a place fee for all five days. Please do not ask if there is any way round this as we are restricted by ofsted not by choice so the flexibility is not there and to be honest this equates to £3.50 an hour and even if I had three children this does not meet the national living wage. I think that is not a high cost for ofsted registered childcare which meets all insurance and legal requirements

Debbie is a fantastic childminder, she is really supportive and caring. My little boy absolutely loved going and settled really well with her. I loved the way Debbie treats all the children as though they are her own, they went to different groups and took him shopping which he totally loved!! I am gutted I had to relocate and will miss her so much!! I would totally recommend Debbie to provide childcare if you are looking for someone who is fab!!!!
