My Summary
About Me
I am an OFSTED registered Networking childminder and also a Montessori theory qualified teacher.
I understand how important it is to feel that you are leaving your child with someone who will care for them, stimulate and teach them, and provide fun activities for them. You will also want them to feel at home and safe and secure, in a place where you feel that your child's interests are being taken into account, not somewhere where they just have to "fit in" with whatever is going on around them. That is part of the service that I provide, aiming to work in partnership with parents to ensure that all the children in my care get the best out of their childhood, and enjoy and achieve life to the full.
I also aim to help children to have a healthy childhood, by encouraging them to eat healthily and look after their bodies, and encouraging them to make a positive contribution to their daily lives – by valuing and enjoying their individuality and teaching them to feel good about themselves and appreciating and valuing both their similarities and differences to other in a positive way.
My Experience
In the year 2010 I worked as a Montessori teacher at a Montessori in Ilford, where I worked with children from six months to eight years old. Among them were children with learning difficulties, ADHD and Autism.
Moreover, I gained further experience working with children as a Health and Social Care support worker . I have the experience of working with children with Asperger’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, severe global developmental delay, epilepsy, gastro-oesophagus reflux, visual impairment, attention deficit and hyperactive disorder.
I have two children of my own one attending school and the other at university.

Saera aunty was my son's first childminder at the age of 12 months as I had to go back to work after mat leave. She made things so easy for me any my son during this transition. My son loves Saera aunty and her whole family. She is so easy going and was always there to help at short notice. I was extremely lucky to have found her and I never worried about my son at work!
I was sceptical about childminders, but Amelia(auntie saera as we all call her) changed this. My daughter didn't settle with after school club as she entered Reception in school, and this was when I came to know Saera. She has a good reputation amongst parents and teachers as a childminder and as a person. She cares for the children as her own. She was suggested by one of the parents, who have seen her lovingly care for children the past years. Instantly, my daughter settled with her. Not just caring, her background and training makes her very much skilled in what she does. We can't thank her enough for her care.
She is known as auntie Saera to my 2 girls. She is very reliable and is well liked at the same time respected by the kids she looks after. We were all sad to hear that she was moving home especially my 8 year old daughter. I don’t know whether I wll find another childminder as accomodating and as good as her.
Amilia (or aunty Saera as they know her), has been looking offer my two boys over the last two years. She has always been very accommodating, kind and caring. I can always go off to work knowing my children are in good care. When schools started back in March after the lockdown, I urgently needed child care again and I pressed on Amilia’s number. She started looking after my youngest the very next day and offered her services at a reduced price which was very welcoming. We and the community will miss you dearly, but wish you all the best and success for your new home and business.
Amilia has been providing morning care and dropping our daughter to school over the past year. We was nervous at first as our daughter is a picky eater and worried she would go to school without having breakfast. Amilia was very accommodating, asked us what Leiana would have for breakfast and always made sure she was fed before going to school. Our daughter always looked forward to going to Auntie's house and will definitely miss her.
We are very sad to see her leave the area but we wish you all the best, thank you so much for taking care of Leiana
