About Me
My name is Sarah Barber and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder on Fens.
Why choose us?
I say 'us' as when your children come into my home they are welcomed into our family not just into my care. My own (5!) children very much will also become a big part of their lives and have always been brilliant with all the children I have cared for sharing their home, their toys and their mum with them! This is our family home and the day to day routines and environment will reflect such.
I am a busy childminding setting currently employing an assistant who is Ofsted Registered and brings a new dynamic to the children’s care with her bubbly and energetic character, prepared to get right down to the children’s levels and engage and play alongside them supporting not only their care needs but their learning and development.
As well as providing care for their needs, a rich learning environment will be found through planned and unplanned activities and through everyday life learning opportunities. We have a love of outdoors and nature; being in the garden playing in the mud kitchen, finding worms, growing vegetables and flowers, watching the birds, or going out on nature walks. We have just got our own allotment and this is one of our big projects for the future with the children and definetly a work in progress and labour of love! We love to bake and cook; learning maths, sharing and learning how to care for ourselves by preparing healthy meals. We love to read, colour, craft, paint, play games, sing songs and whatever we feel like doing following the themes and seasons of the year. Activities are planned and focussed around the children in my care; their interests and abilities. We like to go on outings to playgroups, parks and further afield as we are able.

• Flexible Care: Contracts tailored to parents requirements. I offer full time or part time contracts, term-time only, school holidays, before school (breakfast club), after school, flexible days and/or hours, etc. We are shut Sundays
• A babysitting service is provided for all our customers if required.

• Special dietary requirements can be catered for
• We provide a buggy – you don’t need to bring yours!

My Experience
I have been childminding for 13 years the youngest I have cared for in this time was 7 months. I have ASD/ADHD experience. I am also a mum of 5.
Qualified to Level 3 in Early Years
NPQ (National Professional Qualification) in Early Years Leadership.
Paediatric First Aid updated every 3 years
Safeguarding Training updated regularly.

My Availability
Main hours of business Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5.30 pm. However we are available all hours subject to parents requirements. We are closed Sundays.
Currently cover Fens Primary School/Nursery only.

Fees
£6.00 PER HOUR
£12.00 per hour unsociable
£7.00 breakfast club (7.30-9.00)
£12.00 after school club (3.20-5.30)
Funded childcare for 2yr, 3yr, 4yr available: Up to 30 hours per week, term-time only. Please contact me for more information. Minimum 15 hours per week.
Additional charges will be incurred for food and outings.
Other Costs
Shift Workers/Flexible hours: If you work shifts or would like flexible hours please contact us to discuss options and fees. We will be able to offer a discounted rate for regular out-of-hours.
