My Experience

After School Nanny April 2018- Current
Take sole charge of 2 boys now aged 7 and 10 years along with my 5 year old daughter. Initially both parents were office based or out on meetings, however due to coronavirus, both parents now work from home.

My role includes a number of elements, including:
• Collection of children from school or after school clubs and liaising with teachers about their day.
• Producing healthy, balanced home cooked meals for the children. I encourage good manners, talk and interaction with each other during meal times.
• Providing children with social, emotional and developmental support.
• Assisting with home work as and when required.
• Supervising, providing and assisting the children with a variety of age appropriate activities including games, craft, sensorial, baking, role play, den building and outdoor play.
• Assisting with the older child’s transition to infant school.

Preschool- Ightham- Early Years Practitioner September 2019 – December 2020

• Deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and any other appropriate guidance for young children in accordance with nursery policy and guidelines.
• Observe each child’s progress and report on achievements, looking for progression and continuity alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage, through in the moment planning.
• Understand and participate in the key person system. To follow the child and write detailed observations to identify their level of development, achievement and next steps.
• Form close relationships with key children so they feel safe and comforted and to ensure you know the child.
• attend to the all-round daily needs of the children by enhancing their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.
• Supporting the children in serving their own food, milk, drinks and snacks and encourage good nutrition and sociable eating.
• Assisting children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting with toileting and other associated welfare duties. Ensure you have an up to date care plan for each key child.
• Taking Action and monitoring all child safeguarding / protection issues / accidents to ensure that any remedial action is taken immediately. Ensuring close monitoring of children about whom there are concerns.
• Carrying out health and safety checks as required to ensure the preschool is tidy, safe, clean and secure for children, staff, parents/carers and visitors
• Participating in free flow environment, to aid children’s development in self-assurance, independence, making choices and self-selecting.
• Ensure child profiles in your rooms are up to date and relevant.

Family Part-Time Nanny May 2018- April 2019

Sole charge nanny caring for 3 children girl 7, boy 5, girl 20 months along with my 2 year old daughter, for 2 days per week.
My role was to undertake multifunctional tasks including:
• All nursery Duties including Daily cooking, light housekeeping, naps and scheduling.
• Providing children with social, emotional and developmental support- especially communication, language and physical development.
• Assisting with potty training and encouraging health and self care.
• Collecting the eldest children from school and the younger children on outings.
• Providing and assisting the children with a variety of age appropriate activities including craft, sensorial, baking, role play, den building and outdoor play.
• Assisting with the younger child’s transition to pre-school.
• During school holidays, entertain all 4 children with trips and activities for the day.






Nanny Sept 2017- October 2017

Sole charge of 3 children, 8, 6 and 1 with my 20 month old daughter, for busy working parents for 4 days per week, 12 hours per day. My role was to undertake multifunctional tasks including:

All nursery Duties including Daily cooking, light housekeeping, naps and scheduling.
• Providing children with social, emotional and developmental support
• Taking the eldest children to and from school and all the children on outings.
• Providing and assisting children with a variety of age appropriate activities including craft, sensorial, baking, role play, den building and outdoor play.
• Assisting with the older children's homework
Taking youngest children to local playgroups, singing and dancing sessions and trips to park, farms and museums.

Reason for Leaving: This was initially a permanent position based on the family moving from east dulwich to wrotham, Kent. Unfortunately the house sale fell through and I could not continue with the commute to and from London everyday.

Temporary Nanny June 2017- July 2017
Take lead charge of 2 girls aged 22 months and 4 years along with my 16 month old daughter, for a work from home mother for 4 days per week. My role was to undertake multifunctional tasks including:

• Providing children with social, emotional and developmental support
• Taking the eldest child to and from pre-school and all the children on outings.

Day Nursery Nursery Assistant Nov 2011 – July 2016
• Assisted with the settling in of new children attending the setting, providing emotional support in addition to meeting developmental needs
• Carry out nursery duties as required including changing, meal times, potty training, weaning, naps etc.

After School Club Manager November 2011 – July 2016
• Lead the day to day set-up, management and organisation of the After-School Club
• Lead Responsibility in all areas of First Aid, Health and Safety, Child Protection, Food hygiene, Behaviour Management, legal and Ofsted requirements and compliance.
• Provide line management to a team of play workers, directing the work of staff based at the Out of School Club, supervising their activities and inducting new staff members.
• Work with all staff to ensure and provide care, play opportunities and activities in a homely, nurturing, and safe environment, with regard to the individual development needs of up to 60 children per day ranging in age between 4 and 11 years.
• Lead and motivate a team of staff to deliver high quality creative play opportunities in a safe and caring environment
• Liaise with the school where necessary with regard to the needs of the children who attend the club
• Liaise with parents and to encourage parental involvement and support of the After School Club
