My Summary
About Me
My setting, "Carolyn's Kiddies" is based in Hampden Park (on the Langney side of the railway line) on a bus route & a short walk from the railway station. I live with my husband & our 26 year old daughter together with her Guinea pig & our 2 year old Springer Spaniel.
I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since April 2004.
My home & car are fully insured for business purposes & I have Public Liability Insurance.
My daughter has a Level 2 in childcare, a paedeatric first aid qualification, & occasionally works part-time as my assistant when required. I offer a "home from home" service with a relaxed, fun & happy atmosphere with a strong emphasis on Learning through Play. We spend as much time outside as possible, & have plenty of free play which allows the children to explore their environment alongside promoting their independence. We enjoy trips out to parks, Miniature Railway, Knockhatch, Paradise Park, Drusillas, the beach, farms, library, soft play, harbour, woods etc alongside lots of activities at home including free-play, art & crafts, messy play, baking, stories, music, role-play & garden play.
I work in partnership with you, as parent or guardian, to ensure your child settles well, is happy & has a wide range of learning opportunities
My Experience
I have cared for children between the ages of 0-11 years, including siblings of several families, since I began childminding in 2004.
I still care for children who came to me as babies, during their school holidays.
We also have visits & get-togethers with ex-Kiddies & catching up with them, & their families, & to see their progress is very rewarding.
I have extensive experience with babies & toddlers & love working with the 0-4 year old age range, helping them to grow & develop into happy, confident & independent individuals.
Last Ofsted inspection in April 2023. Graded as 'Met' due to there not being any children in attendance on the day.

My Availability
From September 2024 I will be open on Tuesdays to Thursdays.
(Mondays in the school holidays only).

School holiday care only, is possible. Monday to Thursday, ages 4 to 7 years, please contact for details.
Funded 15 or 30 hours accepted with no additional charges & all outings included.
No school runs, sorry.

My daughter had been going to her since she was 5 months old - she's now 2. She loves being there and has so much fun. They go out to places like Treasure Island or the miniature railway and have lots of fun in Carolyn's house too. She is absolute amazing with them and my daughter loves her
