About Me
Hello my name is Maria and I am an ofsted registered childminder with both full time and part time vacancies in the NW1 area. I am also available for after-school pick ups within the NW1 area (Our Ladys Primary School and St Michaels School, kings Cross Academy and Abacus Primary School). I hold a clean full UK driving licence and can sometimes collect/drop off your children. I have been childminding for 13 years and I genuinely love my job!! I am a mother of 4 children aged between 11 years and 23 years. I have a house with garden and a purpose built garden play room and I am lucky enough to live in the vibrant area of Camden Town, where we have various parks, childrens drop in groups and creche's, nature parks, the city farm, the London Zoo, Corams Fields, libraries, granary Sq & coal drops yard and Talacre sports centre with various activities for children of all ages. I am a very warm and welcoming person and I enjoy spending time with children, watching and helping them to learn, grow, develop and have fun. I am a very bubbly, lively, sociable and energetic person. I have always worked in an office but 12 years ago when I had my daughter I decided to give up my job and become a childminder and take care of my daughter at the same time. This was the best decision I have ever made as I have spent the last twelve years taking my children and all the children I have looked after to all of the above parks and activities and having lots of fun. I have fantastic references available both in writing and verbal from current and previous parents I have worked with. I speak fluent Greek but I can be a little shy. I have also completed an NVQ level 3 in childcare, I’ve completed and passed paediatric first aid training as well as several other courses. I’m extremely flexible and happy to assist you with your child care requirements. My latest ofsted report was lovely and I was graded level Good which I was both pleased with and proud of. I also offer occasional evening and weekend babysitting in your home but Monday to Friday 8am-6.30pm I work from home childminding. I’m very approachable and easy to speak to. My Experience
I have some work experience in nurseries with children aged 3 months to 5 years. However, by far for me the best experience has been raising my own four children and looking after my friends and families children. Since I began childminding I have looked after babies as young as 4 weeks old and typically up-to 4 years old when they go off to school and then they join us after school and during the school holidays. I have childminded babies and children ages range from 1 month to 11years old monday to Friday 8am to 7pm which has helped me gain further experience.

I have 4 GCSE's in Maths, English, Child Development and Art.
I have an NVQ in Communication Arts
I have a certificate for completing An Introduction to Childcare Course
I have also attended Safeguarding Courses

My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
My fees are negotiable and will be based on the hours you require. Part time hours may be charged at a slightly higher rate. As I am registered with OFSTED I can can supply you with my reference number in order for you to receive some financial assistance with your childcare fees from the tax credits system. I’m also registered for childcare vouchers and the government tax free child care scheme.

Maria watched our little girl (7m) for only 10 weeks, but we fell in love with her and miss her greatly! Maria is communicative and careful, every day providing helpful summaries of the day. She is quick to reach out with questions. We could tell our little girl loved going to her house and playing with the other kids. We highly recommend her for anyone with babies. Maria knows how to help little ones adjust and reach their milestones.

Maria helped us out short notice when we needed childcare for our 6 month old in London. She was so helpful, flexible & communicative, it made the whole experience a lot less stressful. Even though she only had our little girl for a couple days she still made time for a settling in session, & she was so warm & friendly our little one took to her right away. Maria asked all the questions I needed her to about feeding, sleeping, likes, dislikes etc so I felt very secure leaving our baby with her. I would highly recommend Maria, & will definitely be using her again the next time we’re in London.

Maria looked after our toddler during the recent birth of our new baby. We were lucky to find her and felt reassured as she had done this before and knew what to expect.
She was friendly, reliable, responsive and accommodating. We arranged several settling-in sessions prior to the actual booking, and Maria went out of her way to accommodate us in her schedule, even though it was a busy time of year with the festive season. We really appreciated her flexibility.
In the run-up to the day, Maria checked in with us several times, and was always friendly and obliging. She was prompt and good with timekeeping and provided us with updates while our child was in her care.
She is a highly experienced childminder; engaging her really helped with our peace of mind and ensured that we were able to focus on our new baby. We knew our toddler was in good hands…she had a lovely time with Maria and came back in good spirits.
We are very pleased with Maria’s services and would not hesitate to engage her again. We’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for childcare in the area…she’s fantastic. Thanks very much Maria!

We used Maria’s services as babysitter about a month ago and couldn’t be happier with the service. Maria took care of our 23 month old daughter for about 6 hours roughly. We had not used a babysitter before so we wanted to get in touch with her in advance to make sure everything was settled before hand. Maria was happy to do this and she seemed interested in knowing about our daughter’s sleeping pattern, eating habits, etc, Throughout the night she kept us updated about our daughter which made us feel reassured she was well taken care of. She came on time and even took our little one for a quick walk in the stroller whilst we were getting ready for our night out. I highly recommend her and wouldn’t doubt to use her services in the future.

Maria kindly looked after our 22 month daughter in our hotel room so we could go to a concert in London. Our daughter immediately connected with her and had a great time. We got regular updates when we were away and were made sure everything was in order. We can not appreciate her experience, skills and professional attitude enough. As travelling parents it’s always a big challenge finding a babysitter you match, trust and feel connected with. Maria is definitely such a person for us and we would highly recommend her.

We absolutely struck gold with Maria! We needed some interim care due to moving into temporary accommodation in the area and Maria couldn’t have been more helpful and reassuring with my endless concerns.
My daughter always came home happy, tired in a good way, she would tell me stories from the day, and it was clear she’d just had so much fun. She talked about Maria a lot when she wasn’t at her house and would yell MARIA when she recognised somewhere local she had visited with Maria, which made me know she just loved spending time with her and the other children.
On top of being easy-going, sensible and down-to-earth, Maria is just a lovely person to deal with. I can see why she’s had so many families put multiple children in her care. Maria is a mother and clearly loves being around children, she is patient and provides a personal, caring and educational environment that makes me feel confident that my daughter is safe and having a great time.
During covid times Maria has been extremely sensible and vigilant about health, so much more so than the nursery my daughter was at. I feel extremely reassured that my daughter is safe with Maria always being so careful.
My daughter feels like she is part of a big family at Maria’s and we are so grateful for the extremely high level of care our daughter has received. We couldn’t recommend Maria more highly to anyone who is considering a childminder in the area.

Maria was great via message and very friendly. We have a 16 month old and Maria was our first experience with a babysitter who is not family. Reading the reviews below, it sounds like she is amazing if you have older children, or are used to using babysitters, however, as nervous first-timers we found Maria a bit dismissive of our concerns and felt uncomfortable that we weren’t able to meet or speak her prior to a paid childcare session. She did say that she has a different approach in her childminder work, and that babysitting is more of a casual job, and my partner and I are definitely at the more cautious end of the spectrum.

Maria accommodated us at very short notice and was excellent throughout. Communication was top notch. Asked all the right questions and we left the house feeling very comfortable and assured. We will definitely be keeping Marias number for future babysitting and can't recommend her highly enough.

My wife and I needed someone to look after our daughter during the birth of our second born child. Maria was more than willing to help out even though we were not a regular client. Communication before making the booking was excellent; Maria took the time to speak to my wife and I to understand our needs and also what our daughter was like. We arranged some settling-in sessions and Maria used these to make our daughter feel comfortable in the same way she would a longer-term client. On the day of our second child's birth Maria was very flexible in terms of her availability and even got our daughter ready for bed when I picked her up. Most importantly, Maria is clearly a caring childminder who ensures that children who spend time with her are engaged in activities etc. Our daughter enjoyed her time with Maria so much that she would ask to go to Maria's house to play even on days we hadn't booked to go! Would highly recommend Maria to anyone looking for a childminder in the area.
