About Me
Childminding 4 U is a Family run Ofsted-registered childcare service based in Lightmoor, Telford.
Here at Childminding 4 U, we offer a nurturing home-based environment that allows the children in our care to experience the warmth of home and to flourish in high-quality early years education.
We offer a dedicated play space with a variety of educational and creative learning toys and a sensory room; this room has a range of child friendly equipment to help stimulate all the senses. These include fibre optics, music, colour changing bubble tube, projector, mirror ball and textured tiles. Our garden is fully equipped for children with lots to explore. There is a water table, bug house, climbing equipment and mud kitchen plus a play house that is perfect for imaginative play.

Samantha Steedman:
My name is Samantha and I am married to Paul. We have raised five children. I have over 15 years’ experience in the Childcare Sector. I started out running a mums and tots group, before working within a busy baby room at a Nursery, following this I worked as an Ofsted registered Nanny; all prior to becoming an Ofsted registered Childminder in 2015. During this time I have worked with children and young people with SEN and trained as a level 3 Senco. Such experiences have not only enhanced my knowledge, understanding and empathy of the individual needs of every child in my care but also allowed me to gain invaluable experience. As part of a small team at Childminding 4 U, I am passionate about working in partnership with parents to provide an environment in which your child’s world is enriched with caring and learning experiences that will foster their all-round well-being and developmental potential.
Paul Steedman:
Following a 22-year career in British Army aviation, I join my wife and daughter providing young people with the opportunities to develop into fully rounded individuals who are interested in the world around them. I’m utilising the skills, knowledge and experience acquired through many years of management and training experience to be part of the children’s explorations as they discover the world around them, as well as discovering and developing their own abilities and interests. I have a genuine passion for motivating and inspiring people with learning that encapsulates them.
Chloe Cox:
Chloe is our eldest daughter she has been working as a childminder assistant since 2016. Chloe has lots of hands on experience including some special needs experience, Chloe has some understanding of Makaton and sign.

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, Level 3 Senco, level 3 Award in Paediatric First aid & Safeguarding, Level 2 Award in Employment responsibilities and rights in Health, Social care and Children and young people’s settings and Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety.

This childminder is wonderful! It was exactly what I needed for my little ones. The setting is homely and Samantha and her team are super knowledgeable on things to do with learning boundaries and playtime. Honestly, the best decision I've made concerning my children. They've learnt alot in a short space of time and there and comes back home with some awesome paintings!!

My little girl absolutely loves going to Sam, she comes home full of beans and really happy, they are always doing lots of new activities and the communication is brilliant. I am kept updated on all aspects of her learning and development. I am really happy with how Sam takes care of my daughter

We knew from the first visit Samantha was right for our 5 month old boy, as we saw her cuddling a little boy to sleep so lovingly I thought he was her own. On the second visit she held our little boy as we filled out paper work and he was so comfortable he fell asleep!
Apart from all the lovely and fun things she does with him such as walks, story/rhyme time, playing and finger painting; she is simply a warm, caring, maternal figure. The basis of what any mummy wants for such a young child when she needs to be away from him. I was able to go to work not only knowing that he would be safe and have his basic needs met, but that he would be cared for and feel loved in my absence. When I dropped him off he always showed true excitement to see her. When I picked him up he appeared to be part of the family, her children playing with him and kissing him goodbye.
She always noticed what skills he was working on and helped encourage him, taking photos and even a video when he first started to crawl.
We are very sad to see her leave!

Would highly recommend, updated me on what was going on, would happily use again. My son has autism and she managed to settle him which isn't the easiest for some people to do. Did a fantastic job :-)
