Hello, We are Jacqui and Mark Wenban, our setting is called Little Ducklings, based in Calne. We work together and are both registered childminders in our own right. I have been working as a Ofsted registered childminder since 2002 and Mark since 2019. On my last two inspections I have been rated "outstanding", however as my little ones parents said "we don't need Ofsted to tell us that, we know you are". We love welcoming your precious little ones and you into our family. We provide childcare for children from birth until they go to key stage 3. We are also able to accept children's government funding, this means you have the choice on where your child uses their 15/30hours a week. I have also completed my Foundation Degree in Early Years. We live near Kingsbury Green Academy and our two sons have flown the nest.
I previously worked for Thomas Cook as an evening shift Manager, so I understand only to well the pressure you feel as adults in regards to work /home balance.
Our aim is that every child in our care is treated as one of our family, we ensure that they have a fun filled day and learn through play sending home very tired but happy little ones.
My Experience
Our own children have been our training, if only we knew then what we know now !
We are able to accept the Government funding as payment for the childcare of 9 months to 4 year olds, also any voucher scheme your company may use. I run a childminding support group in Calne called Little Acorns. I was graded outstanding in my previous two inspections by Ofsted.

Jacqui is the ideal childminder - professional, experienced, flexible and caring. The children have a lovely time there and keep busy all the time,either doing arts and crafts or going out and about to see and do things. She is very knowledgeable about the Early Years and the children have plenty of stimulation to learn through play as well as lots of fresh air. She always respects the parents' wishes and goes the extra mile to make sure that each child has the right care and attention. I have complete confidence in Jacqui and would recommend her to other parents. My son was very lucky to be cared for in such a warm and family-orientated environment.
