My name is Kristina, I run Kiwi Chicks Child Minding and I am registered with CIW. I am mother to 4 talkative, very confident children; 3 boys aged 20, 17 and 9, and a 12 year old girl. We learn through play according to age and individual ability and have a lot of energy to share. I have an attachment approach and am influenced by RIE and Montessori methods.
We have a generous garden which has a lot to offer in terms of growing, climbing, jumping, swinging, balance, co-ordination, teamwork and developing ideas. Creativity flourishes here.
I am registered with the Childcare Offer Wales, the Tax Free Childcare scheme, and several childcare voucher services.

From my own parenting; experience with children from 0-18 years old over the past 18 years, healthy eating, stages of development in babies and children 0-12 years, practical behaviour management with a positive, constructive approach.
Specific to babies and toddlers; cloth nappies, elimination communication, baby-wearing, settling babies, bottle feeding, breast feeding, food allergies (particularly cows milk protein, soya, egg, and others), nutrition, baby led weaning, sensitive periods, creative thinking, facilitating attachment, promoting autonomy, play, and more.
From my university studies; diet and nutrition for health and development, comprehensive understanding of human physiology and developmental biology, and more.
From my prior role as a surgical and senior dental nurse; people management, management of medical emergencies and first aid, safeguarding, record keeping, cross infection control, health and safety, risk assessment, COSHH, record keeping, regulatory compliance, practical awareness of various medical conditions, their management and their impact on peoples' lives.
From my hobbies and interests: various arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, exploration of scientific concepts, designing things that work, reading, music, puzzles and patterns, team work, physical fitness and activity, encouraging people, identifying strengths.
I am a very creative person with a strong imagination; traits which are balanced to some extent by a fondness for order within the chaos. I am therefore understanding, flexible, and relate to children very naturally.

- After school availability on Tuesdays for over 8s
