Welcome to the Hatchling's at Hatchlings House. I am an Ofsted Registered childminder who has completed the Prospect early years service for Childminding working with the EYFS.
Recently received Good in my latest inspection 18th May 2024
I live in North Tonbridge with my husband and 2 daughters.
I have over 28 years experience in childcare, 2 years running a creche and 20 years nannying, I loved nannying particularly all things art and craft and imaginary play. I also enjoyed signing and helping children learn in a variety of fun and interesting ways. I strongly believe `If a child cannot learn the way we teach we should teach in a way the child can learn'.
After 20 years of nannying I wanted to combine my passion for providing childcare with my love of being a mum so our home became Hatchling House and the Hatchlings was created.
We have a large variety of toys for all ages, Everything you can imagine for arts/craft activities, a fancy dress rail, wooden kitchen, dolls house, a book corner and chill out chair, plus a large selection of bikes trikes and scooters. Outside we have a trampoline, play house, slide, sand and water table and a planting bed for seeds we grow.
We attend a number of local groups each week as we are a small setting this is important to me so the children in my care can mix with larger groups of children enabling a good foundation for school. A definite favourite amongst the children is the messy play session we attend.
I pride myself on offering a home from home environment where every child is unique.

Our son has been attending Hatchling House since he was 11 months old. We felt so at ease with Louise from the moment we met her to have a tour of the setting and knew instantly our boy would be so happy there and well cared for. We were right as he is absolutely flourishing and turning into the most delightful, happy and polite little boy and Louise is a huge part of that. He has such a zest for life and absolutely loves going to her house which makes us so happy.
Louise really puts so much thought and effort into the activities she does with the children and you can tell she absolute loves what she does and is incredibly good at it. Choosing the right care provider is so important and we couldn’t ask for anyone better to look after our pride and joy.
