About Me
Please feel free to book an appointment for viewing your place early to avoid disappointment. Hello my name is Pat and I live in a 3/4 bedroom house in north west Ipswich with my husband . We are an active family enjoying nature and the great outdoors and are animal lovers. My garden runs on to the back of the local allotments where we have acquired 2 plots.The children in my care have the chance to grow their own organic fruit and vegetables and have a chance to feed the chickens. There is also a wildlife pond where the children can go pond dipping and a willow hut/den where the children enjoy having picnics(weather permitting). I have an enclosed back garden where there is a lovely playhouse,bikes,trikes,ride on tractors , mud kitchen etc. The children also benefit from the vast range of educational toys inside the premises. Arts and crafts, playdough, painting activities are also available. We attend local mums and tots, library, the Play bus , Mini monsters weekly and various parks etc. In the school holidays the children benefit from day trips, such as Walberswick Crabbing, Clacton Beach, Nacton shores, Baylham rare breeds farm, Jimmys Farm , Colchester country Park , Felixstowe Beach and numerous parks in and around Ipswich.
My Experience
Life experience and 30 years of being registered and bringing up two beautiful children.I am calm around the children and believe that children flourish with love and affection and with secure boundaries . My references which can be viewed on my childcare.co.uk will show my wealth of experience over the many years and the love I have of the work I do.. Full driving license for 40 years.. I am a very active childminder who enjoys the great outdoors,most days are filled with activities and free play with plenty of fresh air. I have a 7 seater Vauxhall Zarifa which is insured for my childminding business, which means that the children within my setting have the added benefit of going out and enjoying the day trips that are provided.
My Qualifications
I now have my NVQ3 IN CHILDCARE which I obtained in Feb 2010 and also have a level 3 in Playwork.. In July 2019 I obtained an overall GOOD grade from Ofsted. I hold a Level 2 award in food hygiene/safety, peadiatric first aid, safeguarding children, EYFS foundation stage exploring the pack, birth to three matters, social & emotional aspects of development, Epi-pen training, Data Protection ,Equality and Diversity, Personal Safety and NSPCC Child Protection Awareness. Also I have many references regarding the children that i have looked after and references from current parents available on request. EYFS learning tracker which supports the development of each child within my care is in place and this sees the development of the child through to when they eventually go to full time education.

Pat took my daughter on when she was around 11 months old, it was abit of rushed job due to being let down previously by someone else. Gracie took to pat so quickly and settled in really well, shes now ready for school and its all thanks to Pat. During gracies time here pat has taught her the basics of being a kid, lots of mud and days out but she has also taught her the importance of patience and being nice to one another. I would recommend Pat to anyone, she has been a big part of helping my daughter become who she is. Thank you Pat

We love Pat!! Pat has now looked after both of our boys from 10months old through to them starting school. Pat has so many outstanding qualities. She is reliable and has always been there for us over the years. Both of our boys have absolutely loved their time with pat as there is a mixture of learning and social acitivies. Pats behaviour management is amazing and we feel has positively impacted our boys. Communication has always been good and in the early days when our boys were initially a little bit nervous was very reassuring. We would highly recommend Pat to anyone.

Our daughter started going to Pat’s in feb 2021. Prior to this our daughter had been at nursery and cried every day at drop off (and throughout the day when there). Within a few sessions of being at Pat’s she was so happy to be dropped off and really started to come out of her shell. Pat has helped our daughter develop her social skills no end and build her confidence. The setting is fantastic as it really is a place where kids get to just be kids, enjoy their time playing and learning. Pat has the perfect balance of kindness and firmness with the kids, instilling politeness and manners whilst also being caring and attentive. I would recommend Pat to anyone and everyone, we couldn’t have been without her!

Where to begin...Pat has been an absolute superhero in the nearly 3 years that our daughter has been with her! We feel incredibly lucky to have hit the goldmine that is Pat's childcare. Our daughter has been going to Pat's since she was 10 months old and it truly feels like a home from home for her. She is happy, safe and well cared for each and every day. Pat is incredibly reliable, goes above and beyond always, she is understanding (of both the children and their parents!) and kind as well as a fount of knowledge on all things babies and toddlers! The children get plenty of time to socialize with others and go to a wide range of places (pre covid of course!). Pat knows the children in her care very well indeed and the love and respect they have for her and each other is testament to the the quality of her setting. Thank you Pat!

Well what a lovely review and thankyou for allowing me to have the pleasure of looking after Willow warbler she is full of character and in her words a beautiful princess , you should be proud parents as your little girl is out going and full of confidence which in turn reflects on you as good parents x
Pat has been brilliant for our boys, she has been looking after our first for 3 years and our second has settled in so well with her since starting in the summer last year.
Our children enjoy lots of time outside with Pat and the other children. It's lovely to see all the opportunities they have to both play and learn in their logs.
It is clear to see Pat has a wealth of experience with children. Pat has supported our children in reaching their milestones including weaning, toileting, writing and speech.
Pat has always been reliable and very efficient. She has a happy, safe and secure home and our boys love their time there!

Thankyou so much for your lovely review , your cheeky chappies are a pleasure to have and are a credit to you and Martin, the quote from your eldest the other day will remain in my heart forever , when the big man says yes the one with the messy hair you can go to the beach and have a lick of my ice cream then I can have a lick and share it (covid lockdown from the eyes and lips of a 4 year old) ♥️
