My name is Rachel, I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2003. I am an active childminder, I like to encourage children to learn and socialise though play and I provide lots of activities and opportunities to enhance this. I offer a safe and caring environment taking in all the needs and quirks of the children in my care.
My Experience
As well as an experienced mother of three now grown up children, I have been on many committees to help local children, including the local playschool, PTA at the local primary school, on the advisory committee to the local Childrens Centre and a support childminder to new childminders to the business
and I have run a toddler group for many years.
My Qualifications
Like all childminders I have the statutory First aid, Food and Hygiene, Safe Guarding Children and CRB checked. In addition I am registered with Environmental Health and ICO for Data Protection.
I have been on many courses to enhance your child's time with me including: behaviour management, tiny talk, puppets, letters and sounds, the list goes on. I have my NVQ 3 qualification in childcare development and education.
My Availability
I am available from 8am to 5.30pm, five days a week (not weekends).
I am happy to work unsociable hours from 7.30 am.
I do term time only contracts for school age children.
I take six weeks holiday a year of which one week is always at Christmas.
I collect and drop off at Hardwick Primary School.
I live on the Nowton Estate, Bury St. Edmunds.
I have a clean driving license and we are a non smoking family.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Fees are from £6.00per hour, minimum charge of 7hrs for under school age per day.
Minimum 2 1/2 hrs for a school aged child per day, which is term time only.

Rachel is such a lovely caring professional childminder. I left my 8 month old son with Rachel 5 days a week until he turned two. He was so well looked after and we are sad for our circumstances to have changed.
Rachel is well prepared for children of all ages. Toys inside and out. All children in Rachel's care think a lot of her as she develops a great bond with them. Rachel offers a home from home environment and plans an outing every day, introducing children to a whole variety of environments and proving them with lots of opportunities to develop.
Rachel's is a down to earth approcable person, who is very supportive.
Rachel keeps a detailed journal for you to see what your child gets up to.
