My Summary

My Experience

I have one years experience as a teaching assistant in a reception class working half of the time with a 5 year old autistic boy. During the year I also spent many days in the schools nursery with children aged from 2.

I am a qualified primary school teacher and have taught and worked with various aged chidren from 4 to 11 (I met my now husband while training and decided to change to childminding while we brought up a family)

Mondays we go to the library to choose new books and to local play parks. About once a month we go to wacky world inflatable park which the children love.
On Tuesdays we go to fuzzy Ed’s or jungle world play centre with another childminder giving the children contact with more children on a regular basis. In the afternoon garden play or a local park.
On Wednesdays and Thursday mornings we go to two different playgroups with other childminders again making lots of friends and enjoying a change of scenery. Wednesday play group has a dance teacher first Wednesday of each month.

I also have membership to Martin mere which the children enjoy a day out to feeding the birds, pond dipping and making dens.

I have been childminding for 14 years.

My Qualifications

Post Graduate certificate of education with masters modules in meeting young peoples needs among others.

I have completed 5 childminding workshops and have my young persons first aid certificate.

I also have a degree in biomedical science with a year industrial experience in germany.

Completed recent courses on child protection, eyfs, the prevent duty, fgm and food safety

My Availability

I’m currently full every day
I do not do school drop off or pick up for new children. Only occasionally for siblings of existing children.

My Fees

• Childminding from £5.50 per hour

£42 a day for a Maximum of 9 hours or £5.50 an hour for short day or morning only.
I offer funded hours.
No charge for school holidays for term time contracts
