About Me
Hello, my name is Elaine. I am married to Paul with 3 children, 2 of my own (29 & 31) & a 4 year old grandson & a step-son (31) but they have all left the 'nest'. I live in a 5 bedroom house in the Hatch Warren area of Basingstoke (Sandbanks Drive). I have 3 cats, Pippa, (13yrs) Benji (9yrs) & Woody (8yrs). The children I look after just adore them. Please don't be worried that I have pets. I have found that the children respond well to them & are respectful & thoughtful. Most of the time the cats are either out & about exploring or asleep upstairs in their favourite room. I also have a rescue dog from Cyprus called Bonnie, who is 6 years old. She is a Kokoni cross & has the loveliest temperament. The children love taking her out for walks in the afternoon.
My last Ofsted inspection was in July 2023 & I retained my ‘good’ grading.
I attend childminding groups most mornings, which the children enjoy, they make new friends & it develops their social skills.
I also offer the 15 hours funding for 9month+ & 2 year olds & 30 hours funding for 3 & 4 year olds.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since Sept 1998 with Ofsted.
I was a Nanny for 7 years when I left College.
Worked at the Hatch Warren Community Centre After School Club from 2015-2016 settling in & looking after the reception children plus other duties.

I will have 1 spaces available from January 2026 on a Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
My working hours are 8am until 5pm. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Elaine looked after my daughter from 9 months old. It wasn’t easy leaving her but Elaine was fantastic with her. She followed my routine exactly how I did it and my daughter loved it. Was like a home from home for her. She has a lovely house and has it set out with so much to do for the children. She takes them out to groups and really mixes up the daily activities. The daily updates are really detailed and always lovely to receive at the end of each day. I only took my daughter out as I was moving out the area. To be honest I’ll never find another childminder like her! Trust me she really is the best! Thank you Elaine for everything. We miss you xx

I feel incredibly lucky that Elaine was able to look after our son Teddy for over 2 years, she is a fantastic childminder.
I always knew he was being himself and how much fun he was having through reading the daily diary, and then when he started to talk I would hear all about his day!
The children have lots of opportunities to learn through play with a good balance of indoor/outdoor activities.
I was very nervous about going back to work but Elaine put my mind at ease straight away and I was able to get my own confidence back knowing that my son was being well cared for in a happy, safe and caring environment. X
