Hi there. Thanks for looking at My Profile.

I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder with over 20years experience childminding, as well as being a Mum of three wonderful children (aged 23/17/12). We have a fantastic house all geared up to childmind from, with a wonderful array of toys suitable for all ages in our large dedicated playroom.

I work with 2 amazing assistants and so we are a busier setting with 9/10 babies & toddlers each day. Both my assistants have been with me for years and add a huge wealth of childcare knowledge to our setting due their previous childcare employment and being both parents and grandparents themselves.

Our garden is massive with wooden climbing frames, a mud kitchen, covered patio areas, plus a huge decking area for the children to play on. Our aim is to always have lots of fun and entertainment in the children's learning, using our toys and resources, as well as our local community. We actively encourage the children's innate fascination to investigate so that they learn.

We have lots of experience with working with babies and toddlers - incl sets of Twins - and the children in our care range from babies (9months + up to nearly 5 years old). We really encourage our older toddlers to form a strong bond with our younger children and become good role models for them and as such the young children/babies build up secure friendships with our older children which helps them to feel nurtured and secure.

We always endeavour to make sure our days are filled with lots of things to play and do, whilst continually educating and developing the knowledge and learning of the children in our care - we go out nearly every morning (dog often comes too!) to the forest, play parks or beach, plus local garden centres, the library and many different playparks. We see everywhere as a possible opportunity for the children to learn something new and encourage them to investigate the many different resources/toys and opportunities that we offer them on a daily and weekly basis. We feel that that there are so many potential learning opportunities locally for the children in our care - we strive so that no one day is the same - and our emphasis is always on learning through fun.

We use an online Learning Journal with daily photos of what we do and it's great for parents to see their child 'in action' during their time with us

I was graded OUTSTANDING in March 2020. An accolade myself and my staff are exceedingly proud of.

We have recently changed the way we are working to take in to account the many health and hygiene requirements due to Covid19 - this has been a very worrying time for parents with young children, but we think we have adapted really well to keep all the children in our care safe and happy, as well as ourselves and our own families too.
