About Me

I have been married for 24 years and live with my husband Peter in Aldershot. I have 2 children, my daughter has just left university with a First Class Degree in Anthropology and my son is studying Biology at Exeter University. They come home for regular visits and pop back in the holidays too. The children I care for absolutely love them. I also have a dog and two cats who are very much part of the family.

I am always kept very busy not only with my own family but with the children in my care, we are always out and about. If we are not at home, playing, cooking or doing arts and crafts we are out at local toddler groups having lots of fun or on a nature walk and we also enjoy a weekly music and movement group. We also like to visit our local care home and also visit the library and enjoy meeting and making new friends when socialising with other childminders we have regular friends we meet up with and the children often grow up and go to school together??

Obviously because of Covid we had to make a few changes to our routine. As we did before we enjoy lots of fun and nature walks in the woods, collecting, leaves and sticks to make a collage and even painting in the woods. It is definitely one of our happy places. We love our regular park visits and love catching up with our friends there too. We especially love puddle jumping (a definitely favourite) and playing ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’ in the squelchy mud. We didn’t miss out on our music and movement classes either as they were all done via Zoom, we loved it just as much. I am happy to say that things are getting back to normal now and toddler groups are opening up again, we are back at our music and movement classes which we love, love ?? We still really enjoy our nature walks and very much centre around this as we learn so much and gain so many new experiences every time we go. ?? We quite literally have fun and learn in whatever activity we choose to do x
